What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Open Fires In Brecon To Rent.
Staffordshire, United Kingdom - verified booking
"Delightful place - lovely people. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very warm and friendly welcome by the owners and their manager who gave us complete privacy but were only a phone call and a five minute drive away should we need anything. The accommodation is of excellent quality - our party of fifteen plus two toddlers occupied the four bedroomed farmhouse, the two bedroomed cottage and the four bedroomed barn conversion - and were able to dine together in comfort. The two hot tubs were very popular. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful and the delightful River Crai runs through the owners' land. Weather was mixed so on fine days we were able to take advantage of this being in the centre of outstanding walking country but when the Brecon Beacons rain persisted we had plenty of room to enjoy being together indoors and in the big play barn with its table tennis table. This was our 16th consecutive annual family get-together and we consider this accommodation to be the best yet."

We managed two barbecues while we were there.<br /> Tips: Get good ordnance survey maps and a compass and you'll be fine for walking. There aren't many signed footpaths. Brecon and Hay on Wye - very nice towns.</span>"

"It would be a lovely holiday home in the summer and we felt very welcomed by the owner but it was very cold inside the house. The radiators and hot water ran off the log burner which meant you had to light it and check it every 30 minutes. Even when it was blasting it still did not heat the front room to a cosey temperature. We then had to use the plug in electric heaters which would of been fine but we had to pay for the electric as we used it putting pound coins in the metre which cost a good £6+ a day. If the electric was included I would return but unfortunately it lead to a holiday constantly worrying about whether we had change and how we was going to heat the home. Not the luxury cottage stay I was hoping for unfortunately."

"A fantastic property with a lovely eco-house back story. Easily the cleanest place we've ever stayed - in fact the only holiday house where I've ever felt comfortable walking around in bare feet. The pictures of the property don't do it justice, it's a fantastic size for a 3 bed with all the facilities you would expect and more. It's obviously not what you would go for if you want to be in walking distance of shops and restaurants but for a country retreat/walking holiday it's ideal. It's not a naturally child-friendly place but we stayed with a 4 and 2 year old with no problem at all, just mind the stairs and tie up the blind cords!"

"The log fired hot tub was wonderful and they even thought to provide unbreakable glasses so a post walk glass of wine could be enjoyed in the tub. Home made cake in the welcome pack was quickly demolished by hungry walkers. Nick and Janie clearly want your stay to be comfortable and have thought of everything you might need. They are available in the Farmhouse across the road and successfully manage the tricky balance of being helpful while not being intrusive. Perfect place for a family with a securely fenced garden for the dog and plenty of parking."
