"Lovely cottage, clean, warm, comfortable, plenty of space, with tea/coffee/milk to arrive to. The master bed was really comfortable too. A few minor details lost the property one point. Some coat hooks to hang coats would be nice. A few more clothes hangers would help (only 4 in one bedroom and 7 in the other). Washing up liquid provided but only a dribble. Instructions were given for putting out the recycling on the appropriate day, but no mention that the binmen have come and gone by 7.50am, so got missed. No mention of the non-recyclable rubbish, which was not cleared away on changeover day so the dustbin was overflowing on our arrival. The other point was lost for the garden and parking. We chose a property with a garden for the dog, so we could just open the back door for her 1st thing and last thing, unfortunately the plastic "grass" confused her somewhat, she didn't think she should be toileting on it, so we had to dress and take her out anyway. Parking was a little troublesome, most of the parking spaces at the rear are labelled for private use, and the only empty space was too small for our van. We managed to park out the front for 2 days but then day 3 we were unable to, thankfully a helpful allotment owner helped us out and we managed to find somewhere to park.Minor details, though, that did not spoil the holiday, so would still recommend a stay in this cottage"

"It would be a lovely holiday home in the summer and we felt very welcomed by the owner but it was very cold inside the house. The radiators and hot water ran off the log burner which meant you had to light it and check it every 30 minutes. Even when it was blasting it still did not heat the front room to a cosey temperature. We then had to use the plug in electric heaters which would of been fine but we had to pay for the electric as we used it putting pound coins in the metre which cost a good £6+ a day. If the electric was included I would return but unfortunately it lead to a holiday constantly worrying about whether we had change and how we was going to heat the home. Not the luxury cottage stay I was hoping for unfortunately."

"A lovely well cared for cottage with comfy furniture and spotless bedding . Good car parking at the rear of property . Might be helpful to have no on rear gate . The cottage was well equipped just a few small suggestions . A mirror near a plug for hair drying would be nice . And tin opener not very good . But decor comfort excellent . Beds very comfy . Excellent heating . A pleasure to stay at and Carl was so niceness and friendly to deal with. We would definitely stay again. Nice walk for dog from back garden along river . 10-15 min walk into town . Looking forward to coming back."

"We were not greeted on arrival. The accommodation lacked any feeling of being cared for, for some considerable time. There were several items which did not work or were broken and the kitchen equipment was shoddy, meaning that we did not feel comfortable preparing any food, and ate out. This is not something one would expect to do on a self-catering holiday. The working farm and its surroundings, far from being something one would wish to be involved in, was definitely to be avoided, as it was more akin to Steptoe's scrapyard."

"previous guests had smoked cigarettes in the house, so carpet, furniture, vertical blinds all impregnated with smell of smoke. The lounge furniture was very uncomfortable, and really needed replacing, together with the lounge carpet, which had seen better days !Arrived on Saturday 21st, left early on Thursday 26th to return to our clean, smoke free house. All staff at Golf Club, bar, kitchen and restaurant were very kind and helpful.Included photo of view from conservatory."
