"This is a character built all oak timber cottage that could make a great holiday home. The one thing that lets it down is it is filled with sale room clutter.Every room is furnished with pieces of bric -a brac, Edwardian furniture and coastal ornaments.they cover every conceivable surface.Window sills ,ledges, table tops, screwed to the walls, hanging from the ceiling. This would not be too bad if they were clean, but everthing is dusty and covered in cobwebs.Up in the rafters are corn dollys and teddy bears that have not been dusted for months. The bedrooms are large but there is no where to put your clothes because all floor space is filled with dainty chairs with soft toys on,writing desks you cant put anything in.wash stands with Victorian jugs on.we had to take a table out of the bathroom with a great array of ferns in to access the bath. All the windows were hung with dusty beige lace curtains eliminating 75% of the light .The first thing my wife did was to take them down and tie back the curtains to let some light in the rooms.Even the small courtyard outside wasn't immune, filled with wooden chairs and broken down benches that couldn't be sat on,plants dying in their troughs. This all drove my wife mad.She would have loved to have spent a month here with a large skip to declutter the place and put some decent lighting in to brighten it up."

"Excellent quirky cottage set near to South Downs. Open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area - bit smaller than expected, especially with 4 people (2 adults & 2 teenagers) - hence reason for 9s rather than 10s throughout. However, quality of bathrooms, kitchen facilities, bed linen and 5-6ft beds soon made up for this and other little extras.TV ok, couldn't get DVD to work though, otherwise all kitchen/bedroom equipment excellent. Loved high ceilings, oak beams/kitchen units - would have been interesting to know original history of building/conversion in house book details.Loved it and ideal for a week. Village of Findon fantastic - 2 great real ale pubs with great food too, excellent Indian restaurant (and other eating places too), brilliant & friendly village shop, butchers/fresh vegetables, tea/cake shop, steak restaurant++++ - amazing facilities for such a small village. Had several walks on South Downs Way (recommend Seven Sisters Nature Reserve), trip to Portsmouth only 1 hr away, Chichester, Beachy Head etc. We all loved it."

"The main issue with this property is parking. Although the owner states it is only suitable for a small car their is an issue with the resident at no 7. He has flower pots all over his driveway which means any car driver can not get out of their car passenger side they are in the way. The resident at no 7 is a very aggressive man who is rude and very angry. If young girls were staying their they would be frightened. The owner of the holiday property know about this issue but seems to do nothing about this. Most of the people who write in the guest book does state this problem about parking. Please can something be done or printed about the problem with parking. I am a disabled lady and know where does it state in the print that it is not disabled friendly."

"The owner was very kind & accommodating. The cottage was ideal for us & our plans. It was centrally located in southern England & convenient for exploring the south, as well as London . It was secluded just enough to allow relaxation. The facilities were complete. The local town was near by with groceries, pubs, & a pharmacy. The grounds & area typical of rural England, which was appealing to an American visitor.Would have be great, if we had had the e-mail address of the owner. We live across the Atlantic & it was a pain, as well as expensive to contact the owner to make arrangements for the keys, etc. Having an e-mail address would be extremely convenient."

"As we pulled into Corner Cottage, our first impression was disappointment at the garden. It was very small, all laid to stones and our dog didn't like at at all. Not a blade of grass in sight! And it's wrong to say that there is parking for 3 cars there, as if you want to shut the gate (to keep your dog in) this is not possible! We found the right hand sitting room too small even for just us (2 people) and our dog in his bed. I also didn't like hanging my clothes in the bedroom on hooks on the wall as there was no wardrobe. It was in an excellent location - but we won't be going there again."
