What our customers are saying about our Christmas Cottages In Arundel To Rent.

"The main issue with this property is parking. Although the owner states it is only suitable for a small car their is an issue with the resident at no 7. He has flower pots all over his driveway which means any car driver can not get out of their car passenger side they are in the way. The resident at no 7 is a very aggressive man who is rude and very angry. If young girls were staying their they would be frightened. The owner of the holiday property know about this issue but seems to do nothing about this. Most of the people who write in the guest book does state this problem about parking. Please can something be done or printed about the problem with parking. I am a disabled lady and know where does it state in the print that it is not disabled friendly."

"We had a great weekend at Martins cottage. Rosemary is very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive during the stay. The cottage is beautiful and well equipped, the best feature is the roaring log fire that Rosemary had lit for us prior to arrival! It's in a great location, about 1/2 a mile from a great local pub with a well stocked farm shop about 1/2 a mile in the other direction. We used the cottage as a base for walking as it's just off the South Downs Way and it's also a nice walk along the river through quintessential English countryside into Arundel.I'd highly recommend a stay here, as it's a great way to escape London and appreciate the countryside for a weekend. Just watch your head if you're over 6ft as there are plenty of low beams in the cottage!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Martins cottage and were warmly welcomed. The overall rating is lower than we would have given had there been a proper over bath shower. We are both fit pensioners but getting in and out of a bath from a sitting position is difficult. The existing mixer shower does not work as changing height during use changes the water temperature dramatically, even if it did work there is no hook for the rose or a curtain. This is the only criticsm we have and would definitely stay again if there was a nice electric shower and curtain. Until then we could not, much as we liked the area, the cottage and appreciated the welcome and efforts made by the owners to ensure we enjoyed our stay."

"Overall the cottage was good, the location was pretty good; not very close to the beach, but good for visiting local attractions. The layout is a bit unusual, and the garden is a bit small to sit out in and looked very unkempt when we stayed. The car parking space is quite small: you can get two cars in, but one needs to be on the small side. We found the preponderance of personal effects and clutter a little disconcerting; it felt like we were staying in someone's home. Also the non-ensuite bathroom was very small. However, kitchen facilities are great, and the large lounge and conservatory is great for relaxing in."

"The cottage has all of the necessary appliances but not Wi-fi. It is dated and hence no pictures of the kitchen or bathroom. On arrival most of the mugs and a salad bowl we’re dirty and there is no welcome pack. (Not essential but welcoming.) The pub is friendly, popular and serves good basic food and is over a mile away down the private drive and A29. The gated private drive is also the simplest entrance to the property avoiding the narrow lanes and dirt tracks of Madehurst. Well situated for lots of things to do."
