What our customers say about their holidays

A truly enjoyable comfortable stay at 9 Seaford Sands.

It has everything you need. It was nice and warm and easily heats up quickly in the house. Julie and Phil were easy to get hold of and very accommodating, even though we didn't meet them we did get a greeting sent via messages, and any other information you may need they are quick to contact you back and happy to help. Thank you for the milk, tea, coffee and sugar supplied as a starter pack. There were a few other condiments too in the cupboards. It's in a good location up a hill, where you can see to one area of the beach from the car park. It's easy enough to walk down to the beach area, just be aware that it's a bit of a climb back. The car parking spot is a bit tight to say the least, especially when other neighbours are parked up in the evening. We loved Paignton, even in November time, it's just so beautiful and Totnes nearby is well worth a visit especially with their market on Friday, Saturday and occasional Sunday. Wonderful shops there, very different. I would highly recommend this house and it's position to discover the area all around the sea front to other areas further afield.

We had a lovely holiday (apart from the weather) The apartment had all the mod cons but they were quite technical even with the hand books they were difficult to work out but google helped.

it was lovely to have a washing machine the only two things I would like to have seen was a wall clock in the living area and a decent dustpan and brush both inexpensive. Also maybe some leaflets of things to see and do. It was a lovely touch to have milk and biscuits and other bits left for us and cleaning stuff although we did bring our own. The apartment was bright and airy the balcony was a nice extra. The apartment is very central to all the amenities train bus beach amusement arcade fair rides food outlets. It’s a really lovely walk along the sea wall to Dawlish about 40 mins waving to the many trains that pass ! We loved seeing the black swans and other birds in the stream.we used the trains a few times to visit teignmouth Torquay and Paignton we went to the zoo when you get off the train you need a 22 bus to take you to the zoo. the only real problem we had was the parking we couldn’t have our allocated space so was told to park in another space then had an irate lady leave a note and came to find us to complain we still couldn’t have our space so had to use another wrong one

We had such a lovely holiday.

It was our first time back in Torquay since 2020 (when I was pregnant with my daughter). We returned this year with both our little girl & baby boy. The apartment was a lot bigger than we expected but it was so nice, spacious & clean. It was very local to the town & as we don’t drive it was so easy to walk down through town to the Marina & get to the beach. There was also a regular bus service along the road if we needed it, which took you all the way to Paignton too. The beds were super comfy and the travel cot was comfy for our baby too. We’ve had problems before where they are rock solid and luckily this wasn’t the case: The area is quite noisy with buses & cars (that cannot be helped). The people downstairs also decided to move in / move furniture at 10pm the first night we stayed which disrupted us. However we had no problems other than that. Our daughter is already asking when we are going back to our “holiday house” as she called it. We hope to return again! We also recommended the property to a few of our friends. :)

Flat extremely clean and perfect for two but has some slight quirks which need sorting out.

The blinds in the bedroom and the lounge don’t fit the windows. They end about 4 inches from the bottom. In the bedroom the curtains are so flimsy that they too don’t do their work. This means that you can see into the bedroom and right onto the bed from the street outside even with the curtains closed. It’s the same in the lounge but that’s not as worrying. There is no room on the other side of the bed for a bedside table and the shelf provided was hanging off the wall. We did inform the owner/landlord/caretaker who took it away, leaving us with no shelf. The shower is quite old and could do with replacing and the shower head and holder don’t match so it’s tricky to adjust the position of the shower head. We had lovely welcome gifts which we really appreciated but I’d prefer money to be spent on the things mentioned above.

    • Mrs E Jewell - Verified booking

The flat was lovely and we were very happy there. The equipment and cleanliness was very good. We would have liked something more central to Paignton but we know the area well and found short cuts. We were very disappointed by the lift at the property after getting stuck in it. The repair people disturbed us early Monday morning to ask about getting stuck. They left saying there was nothing wrong with the lift even though other people in the building said they have got stuck in the lift before. Us getting stuck caused a lot of upset as my daughter had a panic attack inside the lift and took a long time for her to calm down and feel well after the experience. After dealing with the situation on the, Friday I did not appreciate dealing with grumpy maintenence men on the Monday morning who said there was nothing wrong with the lift.
