"We had a lovely week at the cottage where my son was given the privilege of feeding one of the lambs. The owners, Judy and Barry were very friendly and made sure our stay was a memorable one. Each time we went out we were greeted by the two comical dogs, Bill and Skip, who my son would have happily taken home. The cottage is light, spacious and incredibly clean and comfortable. If you enjoy watching the birds on the bird table, this is an ideal location as there are many different types including the woodpecker who visited daily which you don’t seem to see in the Midlands. The owl flew past one evening too which is a rare sight and all visible through the lounge window. This sight was often in replacement of watching the television as it was much more entertaining. There are many walks that start on the owners’ land and then out into further countryside. We managed a ten mile walk to Tamar Lakes one day but did ache the next (more practice needed I think!)As the cottage is set in a very rural spot, there’s not the light pollution that is often inescapable in towns and cities, therefore if you enjoy star gazing, especially with the aid of the app, ‘night sky’ and a telescope, It’s possible to work out which star you are looking at, or in some cases far off planets, like Venus shining brightly. Overall this is a very well cared for, stunning, spacious cottage in beautiful grounds that doesn’t disappoint. You have to see it in person to fully appreciate it! The friendly owners will either leave you to enjoy your stay knowing they are around if you need them, or there for a chat if you choose. It actually felt like visiting long lost family members, so I can see why this place has won the awards it has as they are fully deserved. Thank you so much for a very memorable holiday, Judy, Barry, Bill and Skip."

"It could be fantastic with a few adjustments. In both the twin rooms upstairs only 1 of the skylights had working blinds. And the windows that did have blinds, the blinds were light coloured so didn’t really do anything to keep the light out. My children were up with the sun every morning and so were we. I booked the cottage on the premise that there was WiFi available. It was definitely one of the main criteria when we were looking for accommodation. We have small children who go to bed early and we wanted to watch films on the computer. Also, they like to relax with their kindles after a busy day exploring. Unfortunately, there was no WiFi available in Goose Cottage. I really feel that this cottage cannot be advertised as WiFi enabled and feel quite angry that it is not as advertised. We asked the vendors and were told they had someone coming Monday. There was still no WiFi when we left. On the other hand, my children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals everyday and the owner was lovely with the children. Very patient with the thousand questions asked. I feel quite bad with the low scores as most things were great, but our main criteria wasn’t sufficiently met."

"Goose Cottage was amazing! Pat and her Son Alastair were lovely people, very welcoming and friendly on arrival - nothing was too much trouble. The cottage itself was lovely and clean with all of the equipment we needed for our family holiday. The garden areas were lovely, Pat fed the animals each morning and the children (and adults) were able to join in the fun!The facilities on site were great - a lovely garden area with bench just outside the back door, the pool, the tennis court and a playground which the children in our group loved. Plenty of fields locally too so you could go for a walk in the day or evening if you wanted to and enjoy the views of the sunset. We'd highly recommend Goose Cottage and the other Cottages at Quinceborough Farm. We had relatives who stayed in another at the same time as us and they loved it too!"

"The house was perfect in terms of accommodating our family of five and my mum and her husband visiting from the USA. I'll get the niggles out of the way first... The heating system is too smart - Nigel had to restart it twice, after 10pm. The oven and cooker take some getting used to. There were a few dust bunnies. All niggles mind you. The beds were very comfortable! The bedrooms near enough have their own bathrooms given the number in the house - brilliant for families! Given sunny weather, the garden is beautiful and would give an opportunity for some outdoor living. WiFi helped as did DVD and TVs. Plenty of spaces for children to disappear into for quiet time. Cathy rang with joining instructions which were perfectly described. All in all a great place to stay. Many thanks!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broomhill Farm Cottage which is ideally situated in a beautiful location on an organic farm with access to all areas. We really enjoyed our walks around the farm, woodland and along the canal footpath. Our son really appreciated his introduction to fishing courtesy of host Barry. The cottage itself is well equipped and tastefully decorated, with lots of thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers, free range eggs and a constantly topped up bird feeder enabling us to view the abundance of visiting birds, courtesy of hostess Judy. There were plenty of stunning beaches and delightful villages to visit, but always a pleasure to return to the peace and tranquility of the farm after a long day out exploring."
