"I have written to you regarding S13787 It is on a very noisy road, with a level crossing nearby. We were led to believe that the field was used for Agility Training, not for a succession of dogs to be exercised each half an hour. The gate made a noise each time the dog walker changed, my dogs hated it, they were confused. They became stressed and noisy We knew we could only use the field twice daily, but didn't realise this applied to getting rid of poo bags or using the washing machine. There was CCTV surveillance all the time and security lights. We are quiet at home with no traffic and darkness at night. We did not sleep, neither did the dogs, so we left on Tuesday. We didn't go anywhere, it was so hot, too hot for the dogs and Hilary who is recovering from a stroke. I got the impression we were expected to be out in the day, We didn't take any photos We certainly would not visit again."

"Overall the cottage was good, the location was pretty good; not very close to the beach, but good for visiting local attractions. The layout is a bit unusual, and the garden is a bit small to sit out in and looked very unkempt when we stayed. The car parking space is quite small: you can get two cars in, but one needs to be on the small side. We found the preponderance of personal effects and clutter a little disconcerting; it felt like we were staying in someone's home. Also the non-ensuite bathroom was very small. However, kitchen facilities are great, and the large lounge and conservatory is great for relaxing in."

"Really lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the Downs and coast. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The cake, milk, biscuits, fruit and dog biscuits were an added bonus and great touch.Lynn was a lovely host who could not be more helpful.A great place to enjoy the South Downs with your dogs. The garden really is enclosed and the use of the field in the morning and evening was fantastic for our two greyhounds. We hope to visit again and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who would like a holiday with their dogs."

"The cottage itself is fine, comfortable, clean and in a good location. The biggest problem is the parking in the street and the neighbours. You need to let guests know they can only park in front of the house between the faintly painted yellow lines. You also need to let them know that the neighbours get upset if you don't, even though you didn't know. The neighbours complained to us that our hire car was too big to park in the street then displayed passive aggressive behaviours by parking bumper to bumper to "prove their point" it was most unpleasant."

"The cottage has all of the necessary appliances but not Wi-fi. It is dated and hence no pictures of the kitchen or bathroom. On arrival most of the mugs and a salad bowl we’re dirty and there is no welcome pack. (Not essential but welcoming.) The pub is friendly, popular and serves good basic food and is over a mile away down the private drive and A29. The gated private drive is also the simplest entrance to the property avoiding the narrow lanes and dirt tracks of Madehurst. Well situated for lots of things to do."
