What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Findochty To Rent.
Mrs Stewart - verified booking
"This cottage was in a great location near a lovely little harbour. It was in immaculate condition & equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owner met us & showed us around & presented us with a very generous welcome food hamper. The cottage was warm & cosy & a lot of thought had been given to its nautical /seaside decor. There was a huge range of board & console games /equipment, books & DVD's. so even if the weather is poor, lots to keep you occupied . Very quiet area so great to just unwind & chill out. The local pub was a couple of mins walk from cottage with very friendly owner & staff. Nice food. The village is very pretty as is the surrounding area. For the whisky lovers, loads of distilleries in the area, many nice places to have lunch etc. Everywhere we went the local people were friendly & welcoming . Lots of beaches & places to walk your dog. A big thank you to the owner Janette & her husband ,we had a lovely week that passed all too quickly"

"The location of the cottage was excellent, so near to the harbour and lovely walks. The cottage itself was exceptional, the best we have ever booked from Sykes Cottages. Everything in the cottage was of the highest quality and the welcome pack left for us was wonderful. We will definitely be booking this cottage again. We went to the local church on the hill for the Sunday morning service and we were made most welcome. It was a really good service. Two eating places worth mentioning are the Rockpool at Cullen (better to make a booking) and the Galley restuarant at Whitehills harbour (again, better to make a booking). The food and service at both places was first class. Moray has a beautiful coast, with little fishing villages dotted along it, each one prettier than the one before. A wonderful place for a peaceful holiday."

"The only reason I wouldn't book this cottage again is that it is so far for us to travel. The location is stunning and everybody is really friendly. However there are really very few places you can go in if you have dogs. There is only one pub in Findochty which only allows dogs in the public bar not the lounge where the large dining area is so if you want to eat there you either have to sit outside which is fine if the weather is good or they have one small table in the bar which is also quite a small space dominated by a pool table, the views from the outside seating are amazing though. The most dog friendly place we found locally was Portsoy where there is a small cafe where dogs are allowed both inside and outside., and in the marble shop in the 17th century harbour."

"What a great holiday cottage a lot bigger than we thought it would be and so clean. The view from the cottage was beautiful, we sat outside on the bench looking at the fishing boats going in and out of the harbour and the children swimming and playing on the beach as the week was so hot. we watched the amazing sunsets from the beach around the corner and then to top it all a pod of dolphins came swimming by so gracefully. Findochty is amazing place for all lots of lovely walks, wild life and beaches around the area. The ice cream in Cullen is so yummy it’s a must, so is the Cullen skink. We can’t wait to go again."

"This is a gorgeous cottage , lovely furnishings, very well equipped, it is also comfortable and in a super location! The owner Jeanette is a really helpful person who greets you personally, is happy to answer any queries and generously supplies a super welcome hamper, packed with lots of treats. She has really worked hard to ensure holidaymakers have their every need met , even having doggie items, a kayak and fishing rods available to borrow. We had glorious weather in this pretty village and wanted to stay longer. Hoping to return for a longer stay."
