"The Property internally is very nice for a 4 person family. It is well equipped and owner provides some nice touches. The bathroom whilst very small and having a small low sink makes up for it with a great powerful shower, there is no bath. The lounge/diner is comfy although I needed a crane to get me out of the low receding sofas. The main 'issue' which I did not really pick up on from the advert was that it fronts a very busy road junction with heavy vehicles regularly passing with no parking obviously, and at the rear there is no guaranteed parking space, it's a 'free for all' town car park. Chances of getting close (actually in a close space ) on arrival may be low to offload cases etc. But we were vigilant and usually got one nearby daily. Some people park right up against the rear steps making it difficult to access the rear door. Put the bin there to stop that!!Another issue is security, the owner has provided an external key safe but unless this combination is changed every week it is not safe to leave the keys in that. Too many people will know the combination. The main advantage of this property is that it is a few hundred yards from the harbour and beach and main street. At the harbour go to the right across the bridge to the holiday park and down the harbour r.h.side pier to the best bit of beach superb for kids sandy /shallow. Go left for a walk on the prom across to field, cafes, play area and smaller stonier beach. You can use the holiday park restaurant etc right there on the harbour. Best Restaurant was Jacko's. Went there 4-5 times again 100 yards from property. Fish and chip shop next to it. Indian across the road. Three of 4 indian restaurants all have the same menu obviously owned by same proprieter.Visit Culloden, Dornoch Beach and of course for a much longer day John o'Groats. Dolphin trips from the harbour and Loch Ness trips from nearby Inverness.I gave the property and location an overall 9/10 but I rarely go back to a place we've been before."

"This cottage is an outstanding holiday cottage with all your needs taken into consideration. It is exceptionally clean & spotless for every guest to enjoy. Donna and George have taken great care & attention to detail to make sure that their guests have nothing to worry about for the duration of their time spent at the cottage. You will have absolutely everything you need for a home from home experience & a very thoughtful welcome pack too. There's a washing machine, tumble dryer to do your laundry if you need to whilst away. There's also a great pizza oven in the garden to make your own pizzas, which is great fun! The location is fantastic for access to the coastal routes, Elgin, Aberdeen & Inverness. Plus you can walk to both beautiful beaches. There is an amazing golf course for any golfers...There are plenty of great places to eat out and drink and a fab ice cream parlour down on the beach front. It's an absolute haven for families and dog walkers. We have been here twice now and will definitely be back again. Donna & George have another house they rent out called the Wickie House too, if S70019 is not available, so check that out too, it's also amazing. I would definitely recommend both for renting at any time, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay or better service from better people. Whether the weather is good or bad, you'll always find something to do there and it's still a great place to be...we'll always have a special place in our hearts for it!"

"Stayed here from 11 - 17 June 2017 with my Wife, Daughter and her Boyfriend. Great location near to the Harbour and the Main Street. Nice quiet road with parking outside. More than happy with the Cottage with all of the mod-cons. Really nice with everything you need. Kitchen had everything you need to cook if you are staying in or having a takeout. Washing machine and Dishwasher (We rinsed the plates etc. Then did a wash the 2nd day, eco warrior that I am ). The bins are at the side of the house, the only thing you cannot recycle is the glass bottles? As one bin is for metal and plastic bottles only?? The food recycle bin was in the shed in the garden. You might want to bring your own recycle bags for that. Good free internet, nice comfy beds with the converted loft a double bed and two single beds in the second room upstairs with separate shower off the hall. The main bedroom downstairs has an ensuite. Liked the Nautical theme decor. A selection of CDs and books if you are staying in. We brought our own Amazon stick for the TV. Could not have asked for more and so happy we chose the S70019. The owners were more than helpful and came around to the Cottage to show my daughter how to use the TV in the bedroom downstairs. Would definitely come back here if we ever come back to the area. A Big Thank You to the owners 10/10"

"We had a fabulous holiday in this beautiful cottage. Donna and George were great hosts. The cottage was so well laid out. They thought of everything. They provided a very generous starter pack with wine, cheeses, loose tea, teabags, coffee, sugar, shortbread, milk, pizza starter pack & sauce. They supplied laundry pods in the laundry room with a washer and a dryer and dishwashing tablets for the dishwasher. The house had every luxury and was appointed so well with the lovely furnishings and pieces depicting its seaside location. They also have USB ports in the plug sockets which is great for travellers.. There were loads of DVDs and books and games with two smart TV's and an outdoor wood fired pizza oven. The beds were really comfortable with lovely bed linen and it's lovely to watch the many birds outside on the bird feeders. It's situated in a great location and they supplied loads of information for tourist activities. We travel a lot and have stayed in many holiday homes, but this has been one of the best. We would certainly like to return and can highly recommend S70019 for a holiday location."

"I had a very comfortable weekend stay with my dog. The cottage is just round the corner from the Links seafront and ideal for dog walking and general walking and access to the beach. Also many town food outlets and pub/restaurants in easy walking distance. During my stay I appreciated the quiet location despite being on a main street. The cottage feels like a detached house although "attached" to a property next door on one wall. Well equipped and with good Wi-fi and Blu-ray player a bonus. Lighting could be better in some areas especially the kitchen and lounge. I was comfortable but a large group might find the kitchen seating restrictive for main meals. The patio table at front of house not ideal for main meals. Easy parking on street round the corner - parking right outside only really suitable for loading/unloading due to near blind corner and no pavement. I would stay again and recommend for up to 4 adults or 2 adults/3 kids if eating in. Double bed and bathroom on ground level - stair not good for disabled. Shower room and 2 bright and airy bedrooms upstairs."
