"We are a family of 4 (18 year boy and 15 year old girl) and a 3 month old puppy, Harvey. Everyone enjoyed the stay, nice rural setting staying in a traditional cottage with all mod cons.We had the freedom to roam the farmland and seeing the horses, ponies, chickens, dogs etc added to the experience.I spent many hours 'fishing' at the lake, however I was unable to catch any fish worth mentioning despite my best efforts. This did not take away the enjoyment of sitting besides a very pretty lake in a tranquil setting enjoying the peace and quiet. The rest of the family were more than happy to catch up with the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics in the very comfortable S57447. We were blessed with superb sunny weather which added to our holiday experience and allowed us to get out and about and explore the wider area.We had a fabulous 12 mile walk from Eastbourne beach passing the pier and continuing to Beachy Head. We enjoyed one of the best pub meals we have had at Beachy Head Pub.Also a must if visiting the area was a trip to the Eastbourne Harbour which was spotlessly clean and buzzing with atmosphere."

"This was a lovely holiday, the accommodation was very high spek, the owners were lovely and the large coffee & walnut cake was much appreciated,it was very clean and warm, had everything that you would use at home and then some, only a slight fly in the ointment was the sofas,if your feet were on the floor youcouldn't lean back as the back was very slopey and you felt like you were laying down and as the seat cushions were very wide and you leaned against the back your feet ended up in the air we adapted by laying with our feet up the length of the sofa, also the bathroom door in the lounge area had a gap in it as if the door had dropped and if someone used it it didn't smell very nice apart from that it was a brilliant property and would go there again,it was right out in the country and very quiet which we loved, weather was sunshine for the full 2 weeks."

"We had a delightful stay. The barn was full of character, very attractive and a fantastic and peaceful rural location. We enjoyed the cycle rides each morning before breakfast. There are some interesting National Trust properties to visit, the Bluebell Steam Railway and the historic town of Lewis. The South Downs are beautiful. We enjoyed Eastbourne, but would not recommend Brighton. The beds were comfortable. The only problem is the size of the seats of the sofas, we all felt the distance from front to back was too wide, therefore unless you had massively long thighs you ended up with a twingeing back. The family were kind and helpful, the huge chocolate cake left for us to enjoy was much appreciated. If we visit this area again we would definitely stay at S13943."

"A lovely relaxing place to stay and a very accommodating, friendly yet non-intrusive owner. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms. Sitting room slightly dusty but in fairness, log burner creates dust. Plenty of piping hot water to clean off after a days walking. Sofas although lovely to look at and comfortable enough with plenty of cushions to lounge on could not just be sat on. Could have done with a vacuum cleaner to keep the dog hairs down. Our small white-haired and moulting dog meant everywhere covered in hairs very quickly. Truly lovely and comfortable place to stay for a week. Log burner fantastic. Views stunning."

"Best cottage we have ever stayed in...views and scenery are amazing and just an easy drive from a big town or the coast so a perfect base. The cottage was immaculate and had everything you needed.A lovely touch was the wine, cookies and milk on our arrival. The cottage is dog friendly but it should be highlighted that the garden as gorgeous as it is is not enclosed. The only slightly negative thing I would say is it shouldn't be advertised as 2 bathrooms and really as 1&1/2 bathrooms as the second bathroom isn't a full bathroom and is in the utility room with the fridge."
