"The location & cleanliness were very good & we would book this property again if we could be certain that a couple of things were changed for the better.Firstly, we found the double bed to be very uncomfortable as the springs could be felt through the mattress. We then checked the single beds & one mattress was slightly better than the other, but the springs could still be felt. My husband is having treatment & suffering with pain in his back & hips so he was in so much discomfort that for 5 nights out of the 7 he slept in one of the single beds. We laid the spare single duvet on top of the other single mattress to make the bed more comfortable but it wasn't ideal by any means & he still was in a fair amount of pain when he got up in the morning.I slept in the double bed on half of the duvet & covered myself with the other half & it did improve things slightly but there was still discomfort. We were very disappointed with this & also we found the sofas could be improved upon. We felt it was such a shame that the above mentioned problems let the property down for us, otherwise everything would have been near perfect."

"My sister and I booked S13935 for the week to visit family in Eastbourne. It was a lovely retreat in the beautiful setting of West Dean in the Seven Sisters national park. It truly felt like a restful holiday even though I was recovering from abdominal surgery and our Gran was in hospital. The barn is perfectly kitted out and lovely and warm with underfloor heating! The blinds in the bedrooms were blackout keeping the rooms dark allowing well needed lie ins. The sofas were very comfortable contrary to other reviews. There was no phone signal (Vodafone) but the wifi worked very well, we were even able to watch Netflix without any issues. Julian was very helpful and friendly and even left us a wonderful homemade lemon drizzle cake, tea/coffee and fresh milk! The parking space has been levelled out and covered with gravel making parking very easy.We are hoping to return next year!"

"Fabulous house. Clean, tidy, well equipped, had absolutely everything we could possible want during our stay. We have stayed here twice now while waiting for our own house in Seaford to have building work completed. We will be back here again in January for another stay. A really lovely property, which is well maintained and looked after. Lovely quiet part of Seaford, only minutes from the town centre with shops, cafés, restaurants close by. The train station is less than 5 mins walk away. The seafront probably takes about 5-10 mins walk. Seaford is such a great place to base yourself to explore the area. Fantastic walks to Seaford Head, Cuckmere Valley and the Seven Sisters park area. Even on days when the weather is not so good the house is a warm, cosy and comfortable place to relax. "

"We had a wonderful week in Eastbourne. The cottage was clean and warm (although the weather was kind to us). It was very thoughtful to provide tea, coffee, sugar etc. The box of biscuits was also a nice touch. The garden was small but we were comfortable with that. We also had our three dogs with us. It was a little difficult to get my wifes power wheel chair into the cottage because although the door ways were wide enough the steps (2) were a little to high. The area was nice, there is no through traffic, and the shops were only a short walk away. There is also a good bus service into Eastbourne which is about 10-15 minutes drive by car. Would I reccomend this holiday? Yes I certainly would. :-)"

"The cottage was extremely well equipped, some of which hadn´t been used for some timethe overall control of the kitchen equipment could be better. The couch was very well used although leather was not particularlly comfortable. The beds were clean and in good condition comfort on this subject is personable preferance. The situation and local setting was perfect Although a few negative comments I would still use this again and would recommend it further . That this cottage accepts dogs was a plus point, the garden area is very secure even for our very small dog, he was only 5 months old. The welcoming gifts was a very nice gesture both for the dog and for us."
