"We were over for a family wedding and to visit family who live around swindon and Oxford. We were slightly apprehensive about staying at the same location as cottage owners as we like our privacy but they respected that and only popped to say hello and goodbye and to ask if we had all we needed.Im confused why anyone would want to stay in a holiday cottage and see more of the owners ! (other comment on here) Facilities were excellent, the cottage is of premium high spec, the hot tub amazing and immaculate! My only request is for dog walk guideance as it was hard to find the footpath and work out where you can/can’t walk.We are horse owners and understand how people don’t like strangers around their equines and equipment so we felt very cautious where we could/couldn’t walk.I eventually spoke to a horse owner on the livery yard who asked if I knew where to walk, she was lovely and pointed all the non road footpaths and walls out,we enjoyed our morning and evening walks next to the small river and appreciated not having to walk down the main road. We had some lovely days out to Whitney and Oxford (all easily accessible including a bus ride away from Bampton ) we ate out at some lovely pubs, the trout and then a more premium meal at the windmill ! All were amazing ! I want to thank the owners of S83963 for letting their lovely holiday home and making it dog friendly as it’s so hard to find a top quality place to stay that excepts dogs ! We hope to come back soon ! Gary,Natalie and Nova the German shepherd !"

"Really lovely very small cottage with loads of character. We particularly loved cosy evenings with the log burner going. Supplied with pretty much everything you need and a lovely welcome hamper of local goods. Picturesque village with pub very close and walks. Close to Burford and Witney. Enclosed back garden backing onto fields, altho you have to go down a little path from the back door and this has a gap out to the driveway and thus the road. However we kept the driveway gate closed and took a metal dog barrier to block the path exit and it was therefore ok for our young dog to run around in (supervised). Very dog friendly in general. As the description says the stairs are VERY steep and narrow, I did slip down, but in future I was more careful and held on to the ropes provided! Two bathrooms downstairs and upstairs which was great. Lovely kitchen. Cozy lounge and dining room. Walks from the door. Highly recommend. By the way the Cotswold Wildlife Park was amazing and very dog friendly, we can't wait to go back."

"Excellent and cosy place to spend a quiet week and, if you have the urge, somewhere from which you can take off and explore Oxford and the surrounding area. Every piece of equipment worked except the security key holder which would not close, and one portable heater, even though I replaced the fuse in its plug. Combined CD player and radio also a bit of a mystery! A really good feature is the open hearth and the chance to have a fire - logs were supplied but if you want more go to B and Q or Homebase just down the road into Abingdon after the A34 interchange. Best local pub is the Merry Miller at Cothill - good food and drink and log fires. Beware of a very busy road just beyond the lane on which the Cottage stands. Cars are driven at well over the 40 MPH limit supposedly in force. Not easy for pedestrians. Information left for visitors very thorough."

"It was our October half term in the Midlands and we wanted some time away as a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and our pet dog). S83963 is excellent. The facilties and spec are first class and the hot tub on cool autumn evenings after days out is a treat and our daughters loved it. The fact towels, linen etc are provided is a really nice touch and saved us having to use our car roof box for luggage. The setting and luxury of S83963 is perfect for family time and a good base to explore the Cotswolds. When we arrived there was good detailed information cards waiting for us which was a nice touch and appreciated, we can't praise this accommodation enough, we definatly plan to return in the future, a great family break in beautiful accommodation and setting"

"S25741 was perfect for my week in Oxfordshire. I was staying alone with my dogs and doing a week's course in the area and felt like I was coming home every evening. The cottage is comfortable and cosy and Katherine left plenty of the basic supplies (like washing up liquid, loo paper, soap etc) which is really great as you don't want to be shopping for those things when on holiday then having to take them home with you (some cottage owners are a bit mean in this regard)! Being a single traveller I am sensitive to how relaxed I am when I am away from home and sometimes feel a bit lonely or uncomfortable but at S25741 I felt right at home. I would highly recommend and will visit again when in the area. Thank you!"
