Whatever the season, the seafront draws people from far and wide; enjoy a bracing walk or a dip in the sea. The pier and pavilion may be iconic sights of this town but there is plenty more to do here than that. Enjoy the bustling streets, a peaceful cafe stop and the delicious food. The day need not stop at dinner though, in Brighton you can keep the party going until the early hours. Then, after all of that, sleep soundly in the comfort of your own holiday cottage.

"The big plus about this cottage is the wonderful location, perched atop a cliff with lovely views to the south over the channel and to the west along the coast, where we saw some amazing sunsets.Large property with secure decked area to patio doors to front and beyond a secured mainly turfed garden. This was ideal for our 2 small dogs. Parking for 2 cars directly outside and property accessed by gravel road. Spacious lounge, adequate kitchen, decent size bedrooms and main bathroom. We didn't use the games room upstairs. The negatives were that when we arrive the place smelt of dogs, and although we have dogs, this smell was off putting. Soon had windows open and bought and used air fresheners which did the trick. Everywhere was clean, but the kitchen was dirty. Previous occupants had left a dirty greasy oven, dirty microwave, some cutlery marked and oven and work tops not clean. We had to spend a bit of time with soap and water to make it clean, which we shouldn't have to do.Otherwise a nice property in great location."

"This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful village close to some fantastic walks. The cottage itself is quaint and comfortable. I give it a 9 out of 10 because we are a family who are all very tall and we had to bend over to avoid the beams and low ceilings. It was spick and span throughout and had every kitchen utensil anyone would want. We took four teenagers and an elderly dog on the wettest week in august and still had a lovely week exploring the countryside and local eateries as well as visiting Brighton on a couple of occasions. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and it's thoughtful owners."

"A lovely place to stay, very clean, modern, well equipped and spacious. For us personally coming from the peace of our Peak District we found the front of the building quite noisy and were woken by deliveries, car doors slamming etc first thing in a mornings.A couple of nights the pub had live music and this was really loud too. I know the property is in the centre of a village and this was to be expected. There were plenty of games and DVDs left for children and us too which was welcome if weather bad. The wine chocolates and flowers were much appreciated ."

"Lovely property, very well appointed and comfortable. The reason I wouldn't stay there again is because of the noise from the high street - live bands playing at pubs on the Fri & Sat nights (to midnight) general street noise & noise from very early deliveries at the bakery opposite which meant that for the 3 nights we were there we had very poor nights sleep. The lack of any outside space (which we were aware of when we booked) would also put us off from staying there again. I did feel that for these reasons the property was overpriced"

"Fabulous cottage and equipped to a very high standard. Great welcome pack and lovely garden. The only downside which has been mentioned by others is the road directly outside. It is currently closed in one direction so traffic should be lighter. Unfortunately that does not seem to stop locals driving at ridiculous speeds in a supposed 40mph limit. Road noise was intrusive but on the whole, one of the best properties we have stayed in."
