Whatever the season, the seafront draws people from far and wide; enjoy a bracing walk or a dip in the sea. The pier and pavilion may be iconic sights of this town but there is plenty more to do here than that. Enjoy the bustling streets, a peaceful cafe stop and the delicious food. The day need not stop at dinner though, in Brighton you can keep the party going until the early hours. Then, after all of that, sleep soundly in the comfort of your own holiday cottage.

"A lovely place to stay for wonderful walks along the beach, the Undercliff Walk, straight down to Brighton Marina and Brighton Town Center. Just as well you can go for long walks in the countryside. The Cottage itself is beautiful and in a very good state. All electrical equipment is in a perfect state, Wifi is top. The bathroom is small, but nice and the shower works like a charm. Beds are perfect and the enclosed garden is a lovely place to enjoy a good cup of coffee or a nice BBQ. Rottingdean itself is very traffic polluted, moving along the streets as a pedestrian isn´t very pleasurable.Parking in the garage should be easy for Smarts or Minis, but not for SUVs. But there is enough free parking space up the road. Mind you, a long way up the road... ;-) No, it´s ok, you might have to walk 200 m or so.Once we had parked our car, we left it there all week and got us a Network Saver Bus ticket for roundabout 22 GPB a week. Cheaper and much more pleasurable than going into town by car.Would we come back to Rottingdean and S26240? Yes, any time!"

"The big plus about this cottage is the wonderful location, perched atop a cliff with lovely views to the south over the channel and to the west along the coast, where we saw some amazing sunsets.Large property with secure decked area to patio doors to front and beyond a secured mainly turfed garden. This was ideal for our 2 small dogs. Parking for 2 cars directly outside and property accessed by gravel road. Spacious lounge, adequate kitchen, decent size bedrooms and main bathroom. We didn't use the games room upstairs. The negatives were that when we arrive the place smelt of dogs, and although we have dogs, this smell was off putting. Soon had windows open and bought and used air fresheners which did the trick. Everywhere was clean, but the kitchen was dirty. Previous occupants had left a dirty greasy oven, dirty microwave, some cutlery marked and oven and work tops not clean. We had to spend a bit of time with soap and water to make it clean, which we shouldn't have to do.Otherwise a nice property in great location."

" We were looking for a venue where two octogenarians could stay in peace and comfort before and after a get together of four generations to celebrate a Diamond Wedding. S13892 proved perfect for the occasion - plenty of space, inside and out, for adults and children (and three toilets!). There is also plenty of on-site car parking. The family were impressed and delighted with the venue and we enjoyed the abundance and variety of wildlife in the garden and field. The owner was particularly friendly and helpful, and the local postman enjoyed delivering the card from The Queen!! "

"We stayed as a family party of six including my sisters dog. We wanted accommodation near to Brighton as we had tickets to see a concert on Saturday night. The accommodation was lovely and close enough to Brighton and other nice towns, we especially enjoyed Lewes. The accommodation is over two floors and my husband and I stayed upstairs which had its own lounge area. My only comment would be that it lacked a mini kitchen up there I think a small table with kettle would allow folks to make a drink without having to go downstairs. There was plenty of parking for three cars. The beds were comfortable with nice fresh linen. I think a bit of time spent on improving the garden would be good especially around the BBQ area. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend S13892 to friends and family."

"We stayed at S13892 for a week and it felt like home. Beautiful location, very quiet and an ideal place to relax but also ideal for visiting Brighton as only a 25 minute drive away. Here you have the best of both worlds. The cottage is split .level with a separate living room upstairs. This is great if you have older children as everyone feels like they have their own space with the two double bedrooms downstairs as well. It was wonderful having 3 toilets. The setting is rural and we loved bird watching and also good for star gazing at night. Be prepared to be woken by the resident cockerel! A wonderful place and we will definitely return. The owner was very friendly and helpful too giving us plenty of advice about where to buy food (local Tesco not far) and horse riding. Thank you."
