If you’re interested in Brecon Beacons’ produce, don’t miss out on the Penderyn Distillery or Pwll Mawr cheddar. There are also many pubs, restaurants and tea shops to choose from if you need refreshment on route. With minimal light pollution, the Brecon Beacons has an impressive nights sky. If you enjoy star gazing, this is the place to visit. Hopefully the night view will be preserved for years to come as this spot is also a designated International Dark Sky Reserve.

We managed two barbecues while we were there.<br /> Tips: Get good ordnance survey maps and a compass and you'll be fine for walking. There aren't many signed footpaths. Brecon and Hay on Wye - very nice towns.</span>"

"The Brecon Cottages complex was picture perfect with amazing on site facilities. The staff on site were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the large, clean swimming pool and playing mini golf with a spectacular view of the Brecon Beacons. The accommodation was compact but comfy with added luxuries such as a whirl pool bath and personal sauna. We loved visiting the showcases next door to the complex and enjoyed food at family run pubs in the local area. There was also a games room where we spent many hours becoming pro's at table tennis! Overall a lovely experience for a young couple with a baby on the way!"

"We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and it was comfortable, bright and warm. On the down side we found that the tin opener did not work and the only place to hang wet clothes was in one of the broom cupboards, we would have liked some hooks on the wall. The garden was disappointingly bleak: plastic "turf" and no plants. It would have been nice to know that the key safe was by the front door when the approach from the car park is at the rear of the property. We were fooled by a near neighbour's keypad at the back (not all the houses have their number at the back)!"

"Both were spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. However, we were disappointed with the size of the bed (140 cm?) . Since the bedrooms are so large it would not be a problem to put a king or even a superking in. Sadly, we now had to sleep in separate bedrooms. Also, we could feel the springs of the mattresses. Another problem was the temperature. While it was nicely warm in the kitchen and lounge, it remained a bit chilly in the bedrooms, the bathrooms and shower room. This place could be lovely if these issues were addressed"
