"Not at all what we expected from a 4 star rated cottage . The cottage was grubby !In fact we had to clean the dust from the bathroom radiators/towel rails before we were able to use them. The washing machine dispenser drawer was in a disgusting state in that it was black with mildew and on removing it to wash it the mildew was even worse underneath .The furniture overall was old and shoddy especially in the bedrooms where the wardrobes were so shallow that a normal size coat hanger does not fit in, making it impossible to hang up our clothes !!The equipment in the kitchen left much to be desired and much of it was faulty e.g. even the scissors had a broken handle. The fridge was faulty in that no matter how low we turned it, the food was on the point of freezing. It should be made clear that although there IS shared use of a freezer it is,in fact, in the owners garage which is a good 300 yards down a slope to access. Not helpful for people such as us who all have walking /breathing difficulties!Onto the TV - be aware that this is only a very small 24 inch screen. Certainly not big enough for the size of the room .The roll top bath is very nice but for people with mobility issues is difficult to get in or out of. Some grab rails would make a very useful addition. On a positive note the sofa and chairs in the lounge area was very nice and comfortable to sit on.All in all this cottage needs a complete refurbishment because it could be lovely. All in all we would rate this at no more than 3 star rating."

"We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at S13785. We stayed over the Xmas break and it easily accommodated 12 of us in terms of sleeping arrangements, cooking, sitting down to dinner and also general space to relax and just chill which we did a lot of. All the rooms are decorated nicely and the bedding and toweling were all of good quality and the kitchen equipped with sufficient plates, cups and glasses etc. We enjoyed lots of walks around the grounds plus also into the village for the local shop and pubs. There isn't too much to do in Kirdford which is a beautiful village but Petworth and Billingshurst are only a short drive away. Good communication also between myself and the owners leading up our stay - no question was too much for them to answer. Would stay there again and would particularly like to stay in the summer months to enjoy the garden and surrounding areas more. In summary - a great place to stay and would encourage anyone looking to book up."

"Wow ...what can I say , the pictures on the website don't do the barn justice , its an absolutely beautiful place to stay and the owners have done a great job providing everything you need for a fantastic holiday. Lovely Welcome package and detailed letter , giving you everything you need to know right down to good places to take the children and places to eat. The barn itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated , the children loved the open space outside to play and the games room with badminton court and table tennis. The surroundings were fantastic and a short walk from a lovely little beach. We will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend the S13795 to anyone . Perfect for everyone .. We had the best holiday."

"Beautiful peaceful location with a glorious decked area to the rear overlooking wild shrub land. Very friendly but unobtrusive owners who had left us the most delicious chocolate brownies we had ever had to welcome us!! Very dog friendly and if we had had children with us it would be an ideal safe environment for them also. Superbly equipped kitchen with absolutely everything you could need. The only negative would be that this cottage really should be graded at 4 star. The laminate floor in the kitchen needs replacing as it will very soon become a trip hazard. The bathroom was adequate but really not up to 5 star. Generally the decor is a little tired but none of this detracted from a lovely restful and peaceful stay."

"Wow, what a find. Very impressive on arrival and spacious inside. The owners were very friendly and had left a handwritten letter with lots of information and events happening the week of my stay. A very generous welcome pack, the best I've ever received. The games barn was fantastic, loved the badminton. We were very lucky, we had perfect weather. Having lunch outside in the sunshine was lovely, so relaxing.Beach tens mins away across the field. Also Littlehampton is only a 25 min walk away.Choice of all the supermarkets on your doorstep, though we had ours delivered!Lots of days out to choose from, wish we could of stayed for longer.Cant wait to return."
