What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Aberdeen To Rent.
- Martin P, February 2018 - verified booking
"Let me start by saying that this is THE NICEST cottage we have ever had the pleasure of staying in... And we've stayed in a few! From a seamless booking process, with emails every few weeks with information, including what time to arrive and how to gain access to the property, to arriving on the day to a more than pleasant sight. You can tell the owners really have gone out of their way to make sure that they know what anyone should need, when they stay in a cottage. The property was immaculate (a term I rarely use) and wholly inviting. Gorgeous little treats dotted around such as fresh flowers, crisps and a bottle of milk and prosecco chilling in the fridge... Giving you the extra WOW factor. However, it's the property which speaks volumes for itself. A huge master bedroom with en suite, utility room, bathroom, second bedroom with two single beds and an open plan living room/kitchen with everything you'll need. Not to mention two open fires in the property. We were lucky enough to meet the family who own the property and have to say they are a delight. They gave some tips on places to visit in the local area such as Peterhead Prison Museum, Banff, Inverness and Balmoral Castle (for the spring and summer), which we loved. Insch is a quaint little place with a train station to Aberdeen and Inverness. The countryside is simply stunning, where you can't hear a thing. If peace and quiet is what you're looking for, this is your place! Highly recommended. We'll be back!"

"Great accommodation, clean tidy, very comfortable, only a few things let it down, pub in village had just reopened and only on Thursday through to Sunday, didn’t serve food which was disappointing as we had looked forward to walking to the pub to eat out. There was a smell in the ensuite shower room, drains, and the hot tub became cloudy and started to smell by Thursday, there was no maintenance carried out on it by the owners, who live next door, that we saw. Setting is lovely and rural with great views, pictures on the internet do not do it justice. My niggles are minor and did not stop our enjoyment of the holiday, one more thing the owners are having a new house built on their adjacent field so there could be construction noise for future holidaymakers. Chickens and pigmy goats are great entertainment! ***OWNERS RESPONSE*** Thank you very much for your feedback. The hot tub is thoroughly cleaned and treated every Saturday during the change over period. It is unusual for this treatment not to last the week but water quality can be affected by lots of things, including make up, moisturisers and sun cream. We don't normally do a mid week check of the hot tub to respect the privacy of our guests, but we always recommend our customers to contact us regarding any issues so that we could resolve it straight away. It is our understanding that the local pub intend to start serving food and increasing opening hours, but this is obviously out with our control."

"Beautiful cottage and location. However, the cottage was very cold on arrival and took a long time (with heaters at full blast and log fire burning) for some of the rooms to warm up. The heating was expensive to run as the hallway was not heated and extremely cold, causing cold draughts to go into every adjoining room. We used our £30 heating limit within the first 24 hours. We turned off the water heater and the towel rail in the bathroom to conserve energy and turned down the radiators in each room, but kept the log fires burning in the two main downstairs rooms to maintain warmth there. The provision on logs was generous and unlimited, which was very good. The bedrooms were the only rooms that maintained their warmth with the heaters (on all the time). We had to keep doors closed at all times to keep heat in each room, which isn't very relaxing when there are 2 kids and 2 dogs. We loved the cottage and the location, it's well worth a visit in warmer weather. Beautiful walks from the door, stunning views and friendly neighbour (she left a delicious cake on arrival)."

"Exceeded my expectations in every aspect, Karen and her family are warm and welcoming, the cottage is immaculately clean and just as described/pictured. Lots to do round and about including the lambs and the chickens on the farm. Excellent quality beds and bedding making getting out of bed in the morning almost impossible. Rush hour consists of a chap pushing a pram, a lady on a horse, maybe a tractor and the odd car. the road past the house basically leads to the farm and a few more houses down the road. Lovely setting for an evening walk after dinner watching the sun burn into the horizon. Even the local sheep are friendly, and are happy to take a break from chewing the cud, to come and say hello. The most relaxing place in the world and a holiday that is full of memories that will stay with my wife and I and our 3 adult children for ever. Thank you Karen for your hard work and thoughtfulness. You deserve all the kind words that people leave in the visitors book. All the best to you and the family."

"Myself and a friend stayed here to use as a base for the Braemar Gathering, it was the perfect size for us and only an hours journey from the games. It was very easy to find espcially if you follow the directions provided once you get into Banchory. There is a private parking space that goes with the apartment and immediately behind you is a set of stairs with a metal gate at the bottom which you go up, turn left and its the next lot of stairs to your immediate right (30 steps in total). The apartment was lovely and clean, it had everything we could need and the beds were so comfortable. The owner called up to see if there were any problems, we had a minor issue with the heaters which he sorted over the phone and could not have been any more helpful. There is a Morrisons superstore 2minutes down the road and a full high street in the other direction with pubs/shops etc.. the location is brilliant. I would definately stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends."
