"There's only one word to describe this location, but I'll say it 3 times. Perfect, perfect perfect. I stayed here back in October whilst working away on business and this was more than ideal, the kitchen lounge and bathroom facilities were great. This was way better than staying in a hotel. The stairs to the Mezzanine bedroom could've been a little wider and not so steep, but then again I'm a middle aged overweight guy so not going to emphasise that point too much. If I didn't have to cut my contract short I would've been all over the agent to book this cottage for me for the next 6 months, I was so impressed with the place. The only improvement I'd ask for is that the directions to the cottage, once on the grounds of the farmland be better presented and or illuminated for those that arrive after dark"

"Overall lovely just a couple of things. The stairs! Almost unusable they're so steep (about 65 degrees?). Great difficulty taking cups of tea up there..well anything really. Getting up through the night is hazardous. There is a lack of wardrobe space. There is only one..and that has the broom, the ironing board, the clothes horse and the hairdryer.A blue ray player is great but we don't have any discs and none supplied so a bit of a waste really. Some of the lights didn't work and figuring out which switch did what was interesting. The burglar alarm went off at 3.40am for about 30 mins one morning in the nearby main farmhouse. Sadly no explanation or apology from the occupants (the owners?).Very clean though and a lovely location."

"The cottage is well laid for such a small place and it suited us fine for a couple of nights but I think had we stayed longer it would have been a bit cramped for 4 adults. Weather probably didn't help as it was very wet so we couldn't take advantage of any outside space. It was further from the village than expected and up an unlit lane. I am sure it would have been a pleasant stroll in the summer but in the dark and cold we didn't feel like venturing out to the pub.The hall lights are on a motion sensor which had us fooled the first night - we spent ages trying .to switch them off, A note would have helped!Clean, nice linen. Generally fine. Closer to the owner's house that the pictures would have you believe."

"A lovely cottage. Nice décor, and a very secluded location. The chickens from next door were nice to see in the garden, and the gate opening gadget is a must for all men!!! The kitchen was beautiful, and the welcome gift of the chocolate fudge cake was a nice, thoughtful touch! The bed mattress was a bit softer than we're used to, but not uncomfortable. We had a lovely time, and S44121 is a nice place to kick back in after being out for the day. Our dog enjoyed walking in the woods at the bottom of the lane, and she had a great time sniffing out all the new smells she could find! You do need to plan for food though, as you are a long way from any shops. We will definitely consider staying here again."

"S14150 was simply wonderful - superbly appointed, much more spacious than the photos would indicate and perfectly positioned - in the middle of the country, yet mere minutes from New Alresford (itself a complete delight - Dave's Fish & Chips and The Swan Hotel are equally highly recommended !).As noted in the description, the stairs are very steep (I'm 59 and had no real issues, but the elderly and those with limited mobility would have a problem), and the multiplicity of light switches initially baffle, but the standard of the conversion and fixtures, and the sheer amount of space (vertical too - church-like ceilings) more than compensate. A wonderful place to spend time apart."
