There are three excellent sandy beaches, covering around 2.5 miles of coastline that’s family friendly and surprisingly uncrowded. There are also plenty of places to buy an ice-cream. Mackerel fishermen still set out from the harbour daily and you can even join them by booking a trip with one of the fishing boat operators. Boat excursions head out to nearby Caldey Island, a holy island run by Cistercian monks, where you’ll find a tranquil strip of sand that’s even more peaceful than the mainland.

"Lots of positives: A clean and modern basement flat right on the seafront, perfect for walking into town and very near the main shopping and cafe areas. We had a lovely welcome with refreshments, milk and even cereals provided, plenty of towels and loo roll! Quality furniture, bedding, equipment and fittings, a warm space with easy to use thermostat controls.A few negatives: As a basement flat, it is to be expected that it does not benefit from much natural light. You can hear noise above eg. people walking up and down stairs, people leaving and entering the shared entrance, noisy water pipes when other people in flats are using their bathrooms. So if you're used to a bit of noise it's fine, but it's not for people who want quiet evenings or lie-ins. In the pre-arrival info it says it's ok to load directly outside, however there are double yellow lines and we were accosted by a traffic warden when packing up. There are some free parking spaces up the road from North Beach a short walk away."

"A really lovely house set in a fantastic location and surroundings. The house is very spacious with lots of quirky additions. It has everything you could need as well as a brilliant games room, dressing up box and wooden rocking horse. The outdoor shed contained body boards and other items that you might need for outdoor exploration. The children loved the games room and the tv had both Netflix and YouTube installed which were a big hit with the little ones. Pembroke castle is a few minutes walk away and we had a brilliant day out here, it’s a must visit. The local cake shop is also a must visit and has the biggest range of homemade baked goods I’ve ever seen. We drove into Tenby which wasn’t far away and also visited Folly Farm (such a brilliant day out) and Saundersfoot. A lovely home to make memories with your loved ones in a fab location. Thank you, we’ve all had a brilliant time."

"The Apple Tree is a spacious family home with a large kitchen, three lounge areas, three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. We travelled as two adult couples, with two young children, one baby and three dogs. The house would comfortably accommodate another adult couple. They children enjoyed playing the piano (the adults less so). There were two TV sets with Netflix built in. There's WiFi, but the signal was not strong enough to reach all areas of the house. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. The garden is fairly small, mostly paving slabs and flower beds, but the kids were happy pottering about in it.Pembroke high street and castle was a five minute walk away. We drove to Fresh Water West Beach in about 15 minutes. Bosherston Lakes and Broad Haven Bay slightly further. We had longer drives to Marloes and Tenby. All were lovely, whatever the weather."

"After reading previous reviews I was getting a little anxious HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with our choice. Situated on a narrow country road outside St. Florence but within easy driving to Tenby and all the wonderful beaches on that part of the Pembrokeshire coast a car was a necessity but parking in the lay by opposite was no problem at all. The cottage although a bit dated was clean and tidy and was comfortably spacious enough for the 7 of us. The garden whilst shared was large enough for the 3 grandchildren to run around and play games and there was a place for BBQ's. The owners who lived next door were very pleasant and helpful even taking our washing in whilst we were out and it was raining and the 2 bottles of wine on the table on arrival were unexpected. We had a great week at S71565 and would stay again."

"The cottage is in a lovely location with a handful of other holiday let’s at the end of a country lane. It is well located a short drive from a number of lovely beaches and the small town of Pembroke. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and is well equipped. The only extra I would ask for would be a hoover, with 2 dogs it’s an essential! 2 things reduced my score. Firstly the bed was incredibly uncomfortable to the point we went and bought an air bed. Secondly was the cleanliness. On the surface it was clean but there were cobwebs around the inside of all the windows and dust webs around the corners of the rooms. And if your not a fan of spiders this is not the cottage for you. We stayed a fortnight and had several visitors each day!"
