" All of these places we thoroughly enjoyed. We found the cottage to be quite dirty in several areas, the carpet did not appear to have been cleaned at all and the kitchen utensils and cooker had to be cleaned prior to using them. The road noise was louder than we expected especially early morning commuter traffic. The country lane that goes down to the canal looked very overgrown so we did not try this walk. The cottage facilities were adequate for our needs and we did enjoy cooking our evening meal whist enjoying the view over the fields. The bed was comfy but there was no fitted bottom sheet in place only a mattress protector. All in all we did have a great week in Scotland visiting the places listed above. The cottage was ok for the price we paid but would not recommend. "

"Beautiful cottage and has many features that will make you want to stay longer. Owner leaves you in peace but is available if you need anything. A couple of things missing but we mentioned and they are keen to respond and make everything even better so I imagine those things are provided now. Great location near the motorway junction but you don't see the motorway once you are in the property, it's just far enough beyond the fence and not even in your eyeline. Recommend you use the park and ride for Edinburgh, the tram is cheap and easy. Central heating is good, log fire even better. You can tell they have tried to make this feel it belongs in the Luxury Collection, all done out with beautiful wooden furniture, good beds, great sofas and mod cons in the kitchen."

"Fabulous cottage, everything finished to a very high standard. The rooms are spacious and so comfortable. All the little extras that make the difference like leaving the shortbread biscuits, crisp and milk when we arrived. No need to bring things like dishwasher tabs and cleaning materials as these are provide. Can't think of any negatives to the cottage. Spectacular views of the countryside and lovely walks around the farm with lots of horses in the paddocks. You do need to drive to the centre of Linlithgow for the majority of shops, bars and restaurants but there is a really good coffee shop and restaurant called Mannerstons just up the road which serves breakfast & lunch. Would definitely stay again if we re-visit the area."

"Had such an amazing time at Croft View. Jane really couldn't have done enough to ensure we were comfortable with our three month old providing additional baby blankets, baby towels and a changing mat alongside the cot bed. It was really appreciated. The summerhouse had a little window with a seating area underneath which was wonderful for us keeping an eye on the little one as we relaxed and took in the views from the hot tub. The place was spotless and was in a great spot for exploring Edinburgh and around. The little touches such as welcome hamper and bottle of prosecco went down a real treat after a long drive from Yorkshire. Thank you for your welcoming us to Croft View and for your hospitality. "We booked this cottage as my son and his fiancée live in Linlithgow and we needed a base to stay with our dog fudge. The cottage was a delight to stay in, very pretty and comfortable. Fudge enjoyed his morning walks down to canal every day. The canal is about a 15 minute stroll down a little path by the side of the cottages. Linlithgow itself is a lovely town, with plenty of shops to look around plus a sainsburys and Aldi. Linlithgow palace is a must to visit and we were able to take our dog with us too, we walked him round the loch before visiting the palace, which was lovely. We all enjoyed our stay at Burnside cottage and would love to visit again."
