"We thoroughly enjoyed just about everything about Ty Ar Y Cei: that Castle view was all that others had said & more, & changed from morning light & stillness, to noon hubbub until glorious sunsets, and starry skies including a super moon. Bird life was fascinating. Camera was always clicking.Everything praised by others can only be endorsed. We did base our booking on others' opinions so reviews are very important. The only thing this property (definitely a 2 storey town house, NOT an apartment, the dichotomy did puzzle me) lacked we decided was outside space and privacy. So one tended to keep blinds semi-closed because dog-walkers on their phones (sigh*) and families having energetic exchanges of views, used to pass on the quay, & sometimes stop right outside, our open windows. And with the glorious weather we had for a whole week [though the seas were ironically too choppy for Caldey Island] it would have been nice to sit in a little sunny nook of our own. But everything else was truly perfect. And to be fair, on our last day the café along from us, carried a table out into the sunny quay when reading our disappointment correctly. We should have just gone there earlier. We tried to eat out but didn't find a menu or ambience to 'hit the spot' and gave in to eating 'at home', soup and sandwich after a lunch out, or minimally reheating Co-op fare or having takeaways. It was just too snug & comfortable for words! And it was that World Cup week! Though we were told by several that Pembrokeshire was 'little England' didn't risk testing it out!!We loved all the obvious places especially Barafundle, and Tenby (the only place we visited twice), and Picton proved a nice surprise (food excellent, guided tour worth timing yourself for), especially with the antics of a Chilean Blue Eagle who refused to return to its master, calling dramatically from chimney pot & deepest forest above one's head, 'til finally tiring of its game.Havefordwest was the only disappointment though we did happen upon a glorious organ practice. I really wouldn't bother!!Some house equipment was a bit scary for us, possibly a simplified idiots' guide might be helpful. Finally the owners proved truly helpful re one thing (there were actually 2!) we left behind. Highly recommend without hesitation on all levels so long as you understand the location etc. which was by the way perfect for all shorter excursions. We didn't explore further NWest as we liked leisurely days & felt a 1000mls on the clock was enough! Nearer & we'd be back like a shot!"

"We have just returned from a break at Goscar Court. I would agree with some of the other reviews on this property. The location cannot be faulted with gorgeous views of the harbour and North Beach and within a few yards walk of pubs and restaurants. The standard of cleanliness in the property, however, is awful. There was lots of dust behind the furniture (I sneezed all week), the cushions and settee / chair coverings are stained and dirty and it had a musty unclean smell all week. We wanted to use the single beds (the double bed is the smallest double I have ever seen) but it was impossible to lie on them without the slats falling through. We had to pull the mattress into the lounge every night in order to sleep comfortably! The shower didn't drain so you were paddling about in water for the duration and the blind in the second bedroom was broken. My advice would be to avoid unless you're absolutely not bothered about the standard of accommodation and just want the view and location. For what you pay for this apartment (not cheap) I expected cleanliness and a bed that could be slept in as a minimum! Disappointed. "

"Amazing place to stay ! The house it's self was perfect for myself, my husband and two children aged 3 and 7. The house had everything - and by everything I mean anything you would need to 'live' there for a week - right down to food bags for our picnics ! It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view of Pembroke castle from the sofa was amazing ! The high street was a very short walk up the hill with a great fish and chip shop, coop and lovely cafes and shops to have a look around. Tenby was a half hour if you took it easy and barafundle bay was only ten minutes drive and well worth the 15 min walk from the car park. Folly farm is great for kids with a fantastic array of zoo and farm animals and the most amazing indoor fairground. Needless to say we had the most amazing week and having this property to go back to and relax in at the end of busy days just made it all the better 😃"

"We had a brilliant holiday whilst staying at Brynderi. We were a group of 7 including 4 children. The house is very well equipped including board games, puzzles and a piano! The living space is fantastic, you don't feel like you are on top of each other. The garden in stunning, lots of space for playing. The curtains in the bedrooms are not very thick so if you like a dark room in the morning (or want your children to sleep later) then you might want to take travel black out blinds. It is the perfect base for exploring the local beaches, castles and other attractions. The only downside is it is on a main road. The owner is brilliant and can't help enough. Whilst we were there the hob broke and she came out with an electrician to get it sorted straight away. All in all a brilliant place for a group holiday."

"Having had to clean the apartment when we arrived and then having the beds collapse under us as described in previous reviews we were somewhat disappointed to say the least. I rang the company on the Monday at the start of our stay and we were offered a partial rebate which seemed fair. The location is wonderful and if they sort out the cleaning and assemble the beds properly this will be a good stay. The flat is small and more investment in decent furnishings would make this a more comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathrooms are good too. I would take your own towels as the ones supplied are very small."
