"We stayed from 28th June 2019 for one week. When we arrived we had a warm welcome from Amanda who was kind and thoughtful realising we had been travelling for some time. The Old Boatstore has everything you could wish for and every detail has been thought of. Julian has very cleverly restored this special building to the highest of standards. We had gifts waiting for us with biscuits cake wine and even a bottle of milk in the fridge. Tea and coffee were also supplied in fact you did not need to bring anything other than your clothes! Whilst there we walked to the Tennyson monument and had a picnic amazing views and the Needles one evening stunning sunsets. We had a wonderful Sunday roast at the Waterfront. It's an idyllic place to stay and we would recommend this outstanding spot and The Old Boatstore. Thank you Amanda and Julian for making this holiday so special."

"our stay at the old boat store was brilliant!! everything we needed, everything spotlessly clean, everything looked brand new!! and very comfortable to come back too and relax at the end of a day exploring the island . Amanda and Julian are the perfect hosts , a very warm welcome on arrival and we knew if we needed anything they were at hand to help. very quiet location up a lane but only 5 mins walk to the local pub , or a 5 min drive down to totland bay to the waterfront bar and restaurant very nice to sit and watch the sun go down. not far to the needles and alum bay and fresh water bay where there is a lovely museum to go round . the old boat store is just a perfect place to spend a holiday, lots of walks nearby if fancy a stroll on the Tennyson downs. Osbourne house is a must see place its beautiful we had our last day there."

"Not good for young children as didn’t realise there was a cliff edge so close to the patio doors and garden area so was unable to let my 3&4 yr old out to play which was a big shame and very little for them to do onsite or nearby generally apart from the difficult to access with a buggy/badly signposted private beach! Needed a decent map of site and a spare key would’ve been useful! Really old tiny uncomfortable beds and dampness/musty smell of bedroom put us off however quite well equipped as far as equipment/utensils etc so impressed with that! Lovely views but really more suited to older children/families and the road up to site is AWFUL!!! Really unhelpful receptionist onsite too! If improvements were made I’d go again but apartment is seriously outdated and offputting to younger families 😩"

"Lovely house, light and sunny. Very well fitted out with everything that you need down to the clothes pegs for the washing line! Everything clean and in good condition. An excellent place to stay.Very good local new large Co-op supermarket with Island produce made catering easy. We had mixed weather including violent winds but still managed four beach trips for the children. Tapnell Farm Park close by kept two small children, one with autism, totally engrossed for 6 hours on a rainy day inside barns with go carts, zip wires, face painting, animal petting, story telling, a huge duplo room, climbing frames, etc. All for £50. Fort Victoria has a series of excellent small attractions for children including a planetarium and an interactive history exhibition."

"Lovely property, as described in the description and pictures. Lovely extra's when we arrived, a bottle of wine in the fridge and a box of cakes!!! Lovely to sit on the patio with a beer and let the kids play outside. Great location few minutes walk to the beach (lovely beach), lovely quite location, easy acess for buses another island breazer busses. Very close to the Needles. Lots of attraction to visit with the kids and beaches are lovely. Lovely large playing area for the kids. Shame there isn't a entertainment area or a eating Resturant/bar on site (there is a lovely large empty building in the middle would be perfect for this) Would definitely recommend Sunny Views an would happily stay her again!!!"
