" It was our first holiday in over 3 years without the kiddies, and it was perfect, quiet place to chill out, but also never far from so much to go out and do. We would highly recommend the steam railway, which is a 4 min walk from the cottage, my partner upgraded to first class, and what an experience, it was beautiful, steam train through the mountains to Porthmadog, we was lucky to have sunshine going through the mountains, but we also had snow whilst we was on holiday, which was even more lovely, especially when it settled on the mountains. I would highly recommend this cottage, as it's a great base for everything, those that want a quiet put your feet up holiday, to those who want to walk or bike up a mountain.. it definitely was home from home. The owner Heather is lovely, nothing was too much and happy to answer any questions, she also sorted a hamper for when we turned up, which was most welcome after a long drive, milk in the fridge, coffee, tea and sugar for your cuppa when you finally get to sit down.. We shall definitely look at booking here again in the future, but will take the children next time. We certainly look forward to it. Thank you for such a lovely cottage Heather, definitely what we needed. "

"This is the first time we have holidayed in Wales, and the first time we have booked a cottage. The cottage surpassed all our expectations, both in amenities and location. I wish we lived here, its bigger than our house! Beautiful new kitchen and bathroom, spacious lounge and bedrooms, lovely little terrace outside the kitchen door that is a sun trap in the afternoons. The view is amazing! Although the road outside is quite busy, you really dont notice it inside, or in the garden. Lots of lovely places to visit and things to do short drives away. Porthmadog is a few miles up the road and there is a Tesco there, plus lots if other little shops for food and supplies. The owner leaves a folder of extensive information, plus recommendations for local eateries. There is also a box file full of leaflets for local attractions. The scenery all around is amazing, food for the soul. We will definitely be back."

"We arrived at the house and found it without any issues. The parking was not as bad as we had expected. On entering the property, everything was very clean and tidy and the decor was excellent. Everything was there that we needed to have a wonderful weeks holiday. Heather had left a hamper of goodies for us to enjoy, which, was a bit special. We had never been to Snowdonia before, but, the location of Dol Bach, in the middle of Snowdonia National Park was excellent and we had no problems visiting various places, north, south, east and west during our stay. Fortunately the weather was excellent for the week. You can always tell when you have had a good week, because, the time seems to go so quickly, and, ours went very quickly. So, thank you to Heather, and, thank you to Dol Bach for an excellent weeks holiday!"

"The cottage is outstanding and the views from the back of the cottage are just fab. The cottage was in excellent condition and very clean. The only downside is the main road, even tho the description on the website mentions the road etc, in reality the noise of the traffic is very very noisy even at night, more than what I was expecting. Due to the hot weather which was great, having the bedroom windows open at night made it very hard to sleep due to the very busy road. The traffic speed limit on the road is 60mph. Even tho the cottage itself is excellent, I'm not sure if I would like to stay again due to the traffic. Do think the cost of the cottage is priced too high due to location right on the road. Therefore I feel we payed to high for the holiday. Ian. Lancashire."

" A great property, very comfortable and well-positioned for exploring all of North Wales. Yes, I know someone complained about the road previously but really it wasn't a problem. We sat outside on the decking a lot in the evening, loving the view and drinking local beer and Welsh rhubarb gin, and we didn't really notice the road at all. The kids enjoyed the nearby beaches and especially loved the new Fforest Coaster at Betws-y-Coed (https://www.zipworld.co.uk/adventure/fforest-coaster), I hit Cader Idris and Yr Aran for my mountain walks and we all enjoyed dinner at Dylans, Criccieth. Like I said we should have stayed longer. We even had an RAF flypast as we were leaving, as they flew up the Dwyryd valley. "
