"Although we expected the main barn to be a little dusty and have some cobwebs etc we did not expect the newer parts of the accommodation to be as dirty as they were. The kitchen, bathrooms and hallway could do with a deep cleanse or total updating. The cooker needs to be replaced and the dishwasher was not used by us as it still had remnants of the previous renters dinner in the bottom of it. Also it would have been nice to know that on occasion you will share the barn with a bat or two, we wondered what was flying around our heads and low and behold they were bats which eventually disappeared up in to the eaves by the fire flue, good job they don’t worry us but they may do others.Best part is the holiday was the lovely walks and for dinner out please do not miss “The Inn On The Green “, fantastic food and hosts."

"Visited Ferndale Cottage with my best friend, her two children and my Dog! The cottage was cozy and spotlessly clean with everything that we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable! The village of Colwall is lovely & quiet with enough there and within walkable distance that there really is no need to use a car for the weekend. The only 2 things I would mention are that the stairs in the cottage are quite steep, not an issue for us but may be for some. The other thing was the living room furniture, there is one armchair and a small sofa so not a lot of room for everyone to sit comfortably on an evening.Other than that, I would absolutely recommend the cottage! It was our first visit to the Malvern Hill's area and I can absolutely recommend it, particularly for walkers."

"Comfortable, spacious, well furnished cottage with good welcome pack and DVD collection. However, there is no parking for people on holiday at this cottage and when we parked overnight on the green, we received criminal damage to our car and abusive language which resulted in police involvement. Parking in the village as a whole is extremely difficult. We do not consider the cottage to be dog friendly due to the steep drop immediately outside the patio door which meant our dog could not access the garden at all from the back of the property."

"Cottage was very comfortable but needs better towels. Baking trays and frying pans need replacing. Small Pyrex lidded casserole dishes would have been good for use in the microwave. A clean oven mitt would be nice and also a dish cloth and hand towel for the kitchen. As a Home Economist, I felt that the oven needed a good clean, as is often the case in holiday cottages. However,we enjoyed our short stay and will return next year."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Serendipity cottage. The house is very comfortable and has everything you might need for a break. There were lots of personal touches which made the house very homely. The village is lovely and well placed to visit many attractions both inland and by the coast. Parking down the lane is quite tricky, however we found places a few minutes walk away without any problems."
