"S14311'a location is perfect to explore the island from. It is a relatively quite location with stunning views and local attractions and amenities are close by. Larger supermarkets and towns are all within 15-20 mins drive. Bus services are also very convenient and regular to many locations on the island. The cottage is very clean and equipped to a very high standard, which includes books and dvd's for all the family, not to mention Sky and internet connection that was very reliable. The outside balcony area (with steps down to the garden / parking), serve as a fabulous place to eat meals. Relaxing to read a book with stunning views, horses in the field that backs onto the long garden, is all so easy.Parking is available for one car (maybe two) at the rear of the property however, reversing down the steep access between cottages needs care. There is no parking available at the front of the property and as it is a relatively busy road, parking at the rear of the cottage is recommended. Easy access to bungalow via the lovely stairs at the rear of the property is extremely convenient and safe. The owners are a pleasure to communicate with and available as they live on the island, and I would most definitely stay in this cottage again.Su - Reading, UK"

"We had a fantastic stay at S14311 over the Christmas week. We received a lovely welcome, with Christmas lights, music, real Christmas tree, presents under the tree for us and the children, as well as a gorgeous welcome hamper and homemade Christmas cake. We felt at home right away and were impressed by how well stocked the cottage was with things like kitchen cleaning products, toys, books, dvd's and even festive toilet roll. The garden is a lovely size and the balcony would be great to use during the summer as the view was fabulous. We enjoyed using the wood burner which made the property feel even more cosy. There's so much to do on the Isle of Wight, but we would definitely recommend the Santa specials at the nearby steam railway over the Christmas period. The only small issue we had was with the steep on-site parking. This was easily resolved by parking on the road outside the property. We would highly recommend this cottage as the owners Paul and Jenny really put in a lot of thought and effort to make it a home from home. We would definitely like to stay at S14311 again in the future, perhaps in the warmer months next time. "

"located close to the ferry terminal at Fishbourne so very convenient when travelling to the island. A good base to tour the island with everything being within 20 miles . The views of the Medina were good. Three pubs within 2-3 miles, with one being in 15 mins walking distance, serving carvery and other meals - this was mostly busy so we would advise booking in advance. Our son is a rapidly growing teenager and the 2ft 6 inch beds in the second bedroom were only just big enough for him, another year and they would have been too small. The house is just starting to show some signs of wear and tear but overall is a good choice for 3-5 people (we had a towel rail fall off when first touched, but without tools could not rectify this, and two of the showers are starting to show signs of use)"

"An absolutely wonderful place to stay where the owners are exceptionally kind, friendly and a joy to know. Peter is a warm and thoughtful man with a genuine desire to make the holiday special for his visitors and Claire even baked biscuits and scones for us! The gardens are beautifully kept by Ben, another friendly family member, and has access to a private, pebbled little beach where we were able to light a small fire, much to the delight of the children. One of our members is disabled and enjoyed nothing more than sitting on the sun-trapped patio watching the red squirrels and wildlife in the enchanting grounds. This was our second visit and has now gained the status of ‘home from home’ where a warm welcome is guaranteed."

"A lovely area to stay as lots of nice places to visit and great places to eat, but I booked for a disabled person I was told there was a wet room yes there was a wet room but a big step up into the bathroom which is no good for wheelchair user or on crutches also there was decking all around the bungalow with steps which made it very difficult to get up and as it was a nature reserve site you weren't allowed to park your car next to your holiday which made extremely hard as I'm unable to walk far, when I booked this holiday everything I asked for, for a disabled person they said this bungalow was right for me but once I got down there it was a totally different story, a real shame as a lovely place to stay :("
