"As regular visitors to the island we like to pick a different holiday home each time. S14297 was great for our family of four, with a large open-plan area downstairs giving lots of space. It has quite a modern style which is nice, with large leather sofas downstairs plus a dining area. The beds and sofas were fairly comfortable. The bonus of two bath / shower rooms is very handy, as is the dishwasher and washing machine. Didn't really do any cooking, but there seemed to be enough equipment if you wanted to. The main bedroom had plenty of space for clothes, but a little lacking in the bunk room which was quite small. The sloping ceilings upstairs gave us a few bumped heads but soon got used to that. Minor issues were loose toilet seats and the downstairs shower for which the screen, although stylish, seemed inadequate as the floor got splashed each time. Some cups and glasses chipped, but nothing worth making a fuss over. Also lack of pegs and hangers which we purchased and left for others to use.We definitely enjoyed our stay, it's a lovely peaceful location but not so far out the way to be awkward. Would consider again, although the property is up for sale so may not be available much longer."

"Great location, great size house. The beds were very comfortable. However the ‘annex’ was freezing cold with no proper heating, only plug in electric heaters which we were not prepared to leave on through the night, meaning the annex was not suitable for anyone to sleep in. So many light bulbs didn’t work when we arrived, including lamps, the hallway and the annex ‘bathroom’. The front garden was advertised as allowing ‘parking for 4 cars’, however we struggled to get 3 cars in. The gate was extremely old, rickety & rotten and far too narrow for cars to get through with ease. The area was also incredibly muddy and most definitely unsuitable for parking and walking on! The biggest problem we encountered was the terrible lack of hot water. The house is big enough for, and advertised as being able to accommodate, 12 people. But when one person had a bath or shower, the hot water was GONE!! Ridiculous & incredibly frustrating when we had children & babies to bath. The house is in desperate need of some updating to make it more pleasing to the eye.In fortunately for these reasons, we would not return."

"This was a lovely traditional cottage which was very homely and looked lived in and welcoming. A drawback for me was the lack of walking areas locally for my dog early morning and evening and the fact that the dog couldn't go upstairs, when at home the dog always sleeps beside the bed (I think that should be in the advertising detail but was just in the notes when we arrived, had we known this I probably wouldn't have taken the cottage. We managed though by sleeping downstairs in the twin room, so it was a bit more like a bungalow for us really. The cottage was very well established providing a wide range of everything really from dvd's to games, and every utensil you could wish for. The beds were lovely and clean and the whole cottage was fresh. I did leave a suggestion that he cottage may benefit form painting thd woodwork white as it is quite dark, we did this in our last house and were amazed at the difference itmade and yet it didn't retract frlm the cottagey feel. All in all a good find for a very good price."

"This cottage is a great size for a family of 4 with a large dog, it is all open plan and worked well for us. The location is good, the island is small so I do not think it matters where you stay but there are some great beaches for dogs all year round nearby so it worked for us.Down sides for us were the cleanliness, I am not sure if this is becasue we came at the end of the season but there was a deep clean required. Also, although it is not listed that they are supplied we were very shocked to find no towels supplied. A £35 cost to buy towels for everyone for a week by the sea!We have been staying in holiday cottages for over 10 years and ave never had on enot supply towels, especailly near the sea!Despite this the house was nice and we had a great holiday. I would come back, knowing to pack towels and not expect imaculatly clean!"

"We had a lovely time staying at S14292. We were met on arrival and the welcome gifts were a lovely touch. The house was clean and there was plenty of space for us all (7 of us stayed). The house is in a great location with several attractions only 5 minutes away. The house is fairly central on the island so the rest are only a short drive away too! I know people have complained about the parking on previous reviews due to the attached beauty salon, we had 3 cars to park on the drive. To be honest we were out all day exploring the island while the salon was open and by the time we got back it had closed for the day. On the one day we were around during opening hours we didn't experience any problems parking. This place is great and would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice place to stay to explore the island!"
