"We loved our time at Beckside in Pickering. Parking was easy, the location was perfect. Literally in the best part of the village, so close to the shops and the North York Moors Railway. We had our little dog with us and it was comforting to see that there was a vet four doors away (thankfully not needed). The cottage itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the aga in the kitchen was the icing on the cake.We were met by a wonderful welcome basket too.Very comfy sofas, beds, a luxurious bathroom and plenty of lovely towels. The little courtyard garden was a sun trap, and a safe place for our dog to potter about in.Perfection.Pickering is a lovely thriving place, lots of individual shops and welcoming cafes and pubs; also a great place to reach some stunning parts of the Yorkshire Dales and Moors, including the stunning coast line.We will definitely be booking again in the future."

"Very helpful staff, and great cottages in a lovely quiet location. The downsides of a country location were that it took a little longer to travel the country roads to other Northumbrian attractions around the coast. Of the cottage itself - a few spiders had taken up residence in two of the shower units despite the otherwise immaculate facilities. Although the adverts describe the swimming pool and games room, the hours of use were a little restrictive in that they were not available after 7pm. We understood the Health and Safety restrictions on using the pool, but it would have been nice to be able to use the games room and/or snooker table in the evening. We would most definitely use the cottages from this owner again - but might chose to stay at their other site at Seahouses"

"The photos don't do this place justice. Is homely, well appointed and everything you can possibly think of (and more) is provided. Super clean, comfortable, excellently well thought out extra touches. Very quiet & had excellent few nights sleep! Dog friendly.Easy to park and if not directly outside, plenty along the road and behind the property.Excellent location - property is within 5 minutes walk of pretty much everything in Pickering - shops, railway, church, pubs and only a couple more to the castle. Well positioned for days out to York, Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay etc.Cant say enough about how great this place is - will definitely look to stay there again Previous stayers have filled in the book with reviews and tips and this was extremely useful."

"An almost perfect stay at Acorn Cottage. The location was great as we were attending a wedding in Chudleigh; only 10 mins away. As well as being nearby to pubs and local amenities. The cottage itself was lovely and big, and provided near enough everything we needed. We did however need an iron and later found out it was located in the games room; this wasn’t noted anywhere. Also, the wifi was not working for any of us, this may be because the router is not in the property? But aside from this, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay (I slept like a baby, nice beds), we would recommend it and definitely return. Also the owner (who we did not actually see), was indeed very helpful over the phone!"

"We've lost track of how many times we've stopped in Ty Melyn, certainly over 10 years. It's always so warm, clean and has everything you could need. The weather has not been a complete wash out but not exactly what you'd expect in August. A couple of wetsuits from Tesco saved the day and the boys have enjoyed the sea most days. We have caught a few fish, crabs and other sea life in the rock pools on the beach and a tiny fish in the stream at St David's. Enjoyed seeing the penguins at Folly Farm and had our usual trips for fish and chips to Somethings Cooking at Letterston."
