Large front lawned garden and small enclosed rear garden with BBQ and garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead outside the dog exercise area (working farm). Off road parking. As the perfect semi-detached place to base yourself for a relaxing holiday, East Monkton Farm has a certain charm about it from the moment you walk through the door. There is a spacious boot room leading to the kitchen/dining room and the living room is a fabulous size great for family fun in the evenings. There is a ground floor toilet, and on the first floor are two huge double bedrooms with views over the rollingside countryside. A family shower room completes the accommodation. To the rear of the property is a small, grassed area with a gate leading to an enclosed large lawned garden – great for your four-legged friends to run around in - and garden furniture for enjoying the evening sun.
East Monkton Farm lies just 6 miles from the beautiful town of Cowbridge with its array of lovely shops, coffee shops and restaurants. This is truly a perfect place for those wanting to explore the surrounding countryside, whether it be ion foot, by bike or with your dog. Take a stroll to Blaen Y Cwm Nature Reserve and head down to Monknash beach and watch the waves crashing on the shoreline. Enjoy cliff top walks along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast with stunning views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset and North Devon. Beautiful Ogmore-by-Sea is 5 miles away with its huge beach and fabulous sand dunes. The lovely beach at Southerndown is close by too. For the more adventurous, the go-karting centre is just 3 miles from the property, Margam Park with Go Ape is 12 miles away and there are some beautiful walks to be had at Margam Park. The property is only 30 minutes from Cardiff and Swansea and the Gower Peninsula is not too far away. Pub 8-minute walk from the property. Nash point lighthouse is only 10 minutes away overlooking sandbanks, and the national trust Dyffryn gardens is only 25 minuites away. Or take a 10 minute drive to llantwit major, where you can catch the train to Cardiff, Barry or Penarth for a day out.

A very nice and memorable place to stay in a surprisingly nice area. The Glamorgan Heritage Coast is glorious, an unexpected treat. The cottage was very clean with all the facilities you need on a lane with hardly any traffic at all but not far to get out on to a good road. The bedrooms are large with lovely countryside views. The secure outside area is a delight with banks of roses by the walls and so quiet and peaceful. Much prettier that on the photographs.

Such a perfect cottage. The rooms are all large, in fact the bedrooms are both huge with super antique furniture throughout. There's a handy downstairs toilet. The kitchen is well kitted out and all the beds and sofa comfy. If you have a dog they will love the safely fenced paddock, ours did. The Vale of Glamorgan is a lovely area with lots to see and we had such a wonderful holiday at East Monkton farm cottage. Truly a home from home!
