Llanmihangel sits between the historic towns of Cowbridge and Llantwit Major. Cowbridge (3.5 miles) offers a variety of independent shops and boutiques as well as a wide array of places to eat and drink. Llantwit Major (3 miles) is home to the oldest college in the UK and one of the finest beaches in Wales for Jurassic fossils, whilst providing a selection of good pubs, shops, and access to the railway with links to Cardiff and Swansea. Pack a picnic and head to any of the beautiful beaches along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast including Ogmore By Sea (10 miles) which is popular for horse riding, Southerndown (8 miles) popular with surfers, and Monknash (5 miles), a secluded beach accessed via a picturesque woodland walk.
