About this property

This 18th century barn has been successfully converted into a spacious terraced holiday cottage, standing in the centre of the village of Corris, which is located on the banks of the River Dulas and overlooks the wooded hills of the Dovey Valley. Set on the very edge of the Snowdonia National Park, this Corris cottage is ideal for two families as it has been designed to incorporate two separate living apartments within the one property, however, there is also a dining area and sitting area that can accommodate eight people, so guests have the flexibility of using the whole house as well, if preferred. This character Corris cottage provides cosy, well-equipped accommodation, offering two kitchen/dining areas, two sitting areas and two bathrooms and is perfect for two families or a group of friends. Situated in the centre of Corris village with the pub less than a minutes' walk away, this is a wonderful location for mountain bike enthusiasts with the well-known Cli-machX run nearby, as well as the Corris narrow gauge railway, craft centre, underground mines and the famous King Arthur's Labyrinth all on the doorstep. Guests can also find all of the amenities and tempting cafes available in the lovely market town of Machynlleth which is just six miles away and well worth a visit. The popular village of Aberdovey, with its lovely harbour and beach is just a short drive away and can offer visitors a wonderful day out. This is the perfect location for all walkers, climbers, mountain bikers and those who wish to explore this beautiful region of Wales with its stunning mountains and wonderful coastline.

The historic town of Machynlleth is situated close to the southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park, amid the rolling hills of Mid Wales. The town layout retains the 19th Century clock tower as its centre, and the streets offer an interesting mix of cafes, pubs and shops, as well as the market held every Wednesday. There are two art galleries in the town, which is also home to the Museum of Modern Arts, Wales, which stages exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Just ten miles from the coast, Machynlleth is also ideally placed for taking advantage of superb walking, riding, fishing and rock climbing available in the area.
