We reported it downstairs initially and the owner took great care to clean but then we saw them all over the bedding and upstairs. Although they returned and retreated it they didnât move any furniture or soft furnishings and couldnât replace the bedding as they didnât have enough so we couldnât get rid of them, despite hours of cleaning and hot washing the bedding. No one slept as we could see the fleas jumping and my daughter left with over 40 bites. Sadly Skyeâs have been completely useless at rectifying it, changing their story about who is handling the claim multiple times and so our holiday was ruined and we are struggling to get any compensation. Would not recommend using Sykes. The property was otherwise really clean and well kept and so we assume it was just fleas left from a previous guestâs pet, so once it is sorted it is well worth staying (just donât book through Sykes as you wonât have any proper support if things donât go smoothly!)

Views towards mountains and general surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, cottage is cosy and well-maintained and heated throughout. The narrow hillside track up to the cottage is very steep and sharp initially but we got used to it and were up and down everyday exploring the area.

A beautifully remote little hideaway ideally suited to our specific plans for the weekend. We would definitely consider staying again if returning to the area.
