Guests appreciate the well-equipped, cosy cottage with its fantastic location close to Porthmadog and Beddgelert, offering easy access to local attractions and walks in Eryri. The views towards the mountains and the provision of Welsh tea cakes and milk are noted as nice touches. Some concerns were raised about heating efficiency and minor maintenance issues.
The property is generally found to be very clean, with fluffy towels and a good standard of finish. However, some guests noted dust, dirty kitchen equipment, and a leak, which slightly marred the overall cleanliness experience.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Porthmadog, Beddgelert, and scenic walks, with great views across the valley to the mountains. The availability of nearby parking is also appreciated.
The cottage is described as cosy and the beds comfortable. However, some guests experienced issues with the heating, particularly on the lower floor, and one tall guest found the bed a bit short.
The kitchen is well-equipped and the property is cosy, but there are reports of older storage heaters, a non-functioning electric fire, and some maintenance issues like a continuous running tap and a leak in the utility room.
Welsh tea cakes and milk were provided, which guests found to be a thoughtful gesture. However, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

Lovely cottage and quiet area. There seems to be a problem with the odd wasp coming in from the chimney, but cottage well equipped to deal with them.

A lovely cottage with views towards some mountains. Well equipped kitchen with Welsh tea cakes and milk provided which was a nice touch. Everything was very clean and up to a good standard of finish. The only thing that could be a bit better was the heating. The bedroom heating worked well but the lower floor only has some older storage heaters. There is an electric fire but we couldn't get this to function. It didn't matter too much as it wasn't too cold outside when we stayed but in Winter I'd imagine this would be an issue. That being said, overall I'd thoroughly recommend this cottage.

We were really pleased to find that the cottage location was far better than we expected from the pictures with great views across the valley to the mountains. Similarly, there was a.good car park just up the hill to use, so it was not necessary to park on the roadside. As a place Prenteg is worth reading about and the location is great with Beddgelert, Porthmadog and Harlech all close at hand. Of course there is the added interest of the Welsh Highland Railway which regularly passes by too. Our host was also very communicative and resolved a small problem with a tap, that was running continuously, with speed. Thanks from us all.
