This landmark property was redesigned by leading north Wales architects to become the perfect holiday retreat. Offering a unique combination of outdoor adventure with beautiful accommodation together with peace and tranquillity to relax and enjoy.

Nestling on the edge of Beddgelert Forest but just 5 minute drive into the village, the property is wonderfully secluded but never isolated. Located idyllically adjacent to the Lôn Gwyrfai path, Glan-y-Gors offers many welcoming features with the architectural styling continuing to the interior, providing designer inspired features throughout. The impressive vaulted ceilings of the living room and hallway reflect the grand views of the surrounding mountains. The kitchen and bedroom, whilst spacious, remain cosy and comfortable. The patio door opens onto a large canopied terrace with further spectacular mountain views including Moel Hebog and the surrounding forest. The canopy, which is an extension of the vaulted roof, allows you to sit out in comfort, enjoying the woodland garden even when the weather may be inclement.

The master bedroom enjoys a luxury en-suite with rainfall shower and heated mirror. Underfloor gas central heating is a feature throughout the property which is computer controlled for your comfort. Room temperatures can be individually adjusted to your personal preference. The spectacular tunnel woodburner in the living/dining room gives a cosy glow on cold nights. The kitchen is fully equipped and benefits from woodland views through picture windows and a westerly facing patio to enjoy the evening sun.

Whether you are planning a romantic break, an outdoor adventure or just to enjoy the wonderful surroundings of the Snowdonia National Park, staying at Glan-y-Gors is not only a holiday you will enjoy but a place you will want to keep coming back to. As you step out of your front door, you are greeted by the splendour of the Hafod Ruffydd waterfall with spectacular views of the nearby mountains. Miles of forest walks through stunning scenery await you. Picturesque Beddgelert village is nearby and the challenging routes up Snowdon a walk away. The Welsh Highland Railway meanders through the forest and the occasional whistles of the stream trains are always a joy to hear.

After a day exploring the local countryside and attractions, what better than to come back to the comfort in your own forest haven. On clear nights the stars seem to shine even brighter in the ink black sky and you will fall asleep to the gentle sound of the river passing by or the hoot of the owls in the forest.     Great place inside and out. Spacious and comfortable cottage very well equipped, we felt right at home. Beautiful views and close to several hiking trails, which is a bonus for us. Beddgelert is also a great place to visit, have a meal and ice cream. We definitely recommend and will visit again.
