Wake up to a breathtaking view of the beautiful Dyfi Estuary from the windows of this delightful cottage in the seaside village of Aberdyfi. The holiday home looks across the lovely Penhelig Gardens towards the sea and sleeps four guests, with a welcome for one canine companion. Less than 400 metres from shops, cafes and restaurants, it is perfectly placed for beach days, water sports and exploring the magnificent North Wales Coast.
Climb a short flight of steps from ground level to the bright, open-plan, lounge/kitchen/diner. The former fisherman’s cottage is full of coastal light and attractively furnished. Sit back on comfortable seating, light the cosy wood burner-effect gas fire and enjoy the glorious view through glass doors and a Juliet balcony. There is a neat kitchen and dining area, while the first floor houses a shower room and two pretty bedrooms. One is a double, also with glass doors and a Juliet balcony, while the other is a bunk bedroom with 3 'beds. Outside, just cross the road to Penhelig Gardens opposite the cottage, for a seat in the sun.
Aberdyfi’s fine, sheltered, sandy beach (0.5 miles) is perfect for swimming, sailing and surfing, while the village’s championship golf course is within 1 mile. Stroll down to the picturesque harbour, where you can take a scenic boat trip around beautiful Cardigan Bay. Follow the Welsh Coast Path for 4 miles, past golden sands, and with the Snowdonia mountains in the distance, to the seaside town of Tywyn. At the station, jump aboard the delightful, dog-friendly Talyllyn Railway steam train for a 7-mile journey through ancient woodland and across ravines. A hop on and off ticket allows you to dismount at Dolgogh and climb the path up to the famous waterfalls.
