A traditional, semi-detached, stone cottage in the Snowdonia National Park with off-road parking and a lovely garden. All this within a short walk of the village amenities including shop, pub and railway station. A wonderfully convenient and quiet base from which to explore Snowdonia. There are lots of walking routes in and around the local village and just down the road is the ever-popular Betws Y Coed.

Ty ar y Pen has two double bedrooms (one with a king-size bed one with a double bed) and a spacious bathroom (bath and separate shower)on the first floor. The ground floor consists of a cosy lounge with a log burner for those late evenings in with a glass of wine, a fully fitted kitchen-diner and a good size porch for those muddy boots or beach umbrellas depending on the season (the beach is less than 20 miles away).

Facilities include full central heating, full kitchen, washer-dryer, microwave, Wi-Fi, and Smart TV with Freeview. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the tariff. There is dedicated off-road parking for two cars. This is a no-smoking property. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Ty ar y Pen is in the pretty village of Dolwyddelan in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.  An excellent base between the bustling tourist village of Betws y Coed and the attractions of Blaenau Ffestiniog, with the coastal towns and beaches of both Porthmadog and Llandudno only about 30 mins drive away. The village is well known for the nearby 13th Century castle, the great variety of walking and cycling routes in the area and the beautiful scenery of the Lledr valley. The railway branch line from Llandudno and Conwy through the valley stops in the village and connects with the Ffestiniog railway in Blaenau to journey on a narrow-gauge steam train to Porthmadog.  Also in Blaenau are Zip World Slate Caverns offering tours and Bounce  Below (underground trampolines) as well as zip lines and an extreme downhill mountain bike track.  Fishing is also available in River Lledr, permits purchased locally.
