From the doorstep of your accommodation Dolgellau offers amazing walks such as the Mawddach Trail and Cadair Idris, a range of interesting shops and excellent restaurants and cafes. A perfect retreat for a small family holiday or a romantic getaway for couples, the cottage is arranged over three floors and is decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

Lower Ground Floor

A brightly decorated kitchen welcomes you on the lower ground floor along with a traditional beamed ceiling. Appliances include an electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, 4 slice toaster, kettle, washing machine and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. An array of brightly coloured quality kitchen utensils, pots, pans and baking dishes, plenty of cutlery, crockery and china are also provided.

A small breakfast bar with 2 stools is also situated in the kitchen, alongside a stable door that opens out onto a pretty courtyard.

Through from the kitchen is a utility room with a bespoke hand-painted cupboard housing a steam iron, ironing board, clothes airer, vacuum cleaner and high chair. There is also a folding table and chairs for an alternative eating area. Bikes, pushchairs, golf clubs etc can be stored in this room that can also be accessed from the outside via a short flight of steps.

Ground Floor

Dan yr Allt accommodation Dolgellau offers a beautiful, quirky and colour co-ordinated spacious lounge with a traditional slate inglenook housing a Franco Belge log burner. This provides extra warmth in addition to the gas central heating (although the house is naturally warm), whilst the stripped pine floors and colourful rugs add to the charm. Comfortable armchair and sofas for complete relaxation in front of a large flatscreen 4K smart TV with freeview, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs, together with a CD player/radio/iPod docking station.

A vintage hand-painted table and chairs extends to seat up to 6 people with a matching cupboard housing games, books, toys and puzzles for all ages. Book shelves with a selection of books, local maps, guides and activity leaflets. The owners are passionate walkers and mountain bikers, so you will find plenty of ideas, books and maps to use during your stay.

Upstairs

Main Bedroom - Crisp cotton bedding, feather pillows, cosy duvets and pretty patchwork covers/throws on a very comfortable iron double bedstead with quality pocket sprung mattress ensuring a good night’s sleep. Hand-painted matching bedside drawers with lamps, tall-boy chest of drawers and double wardrobe compliment the soft ditsy prints of the curtains and blinds. A cot can also be provided in this room if required.

Second bedroom - This room is light and fresh and has white Colonial style adult sized bunk beds with quality coolmax memory foam mattresses. Alongside the beds you will find a chest of drawers and an antique cupboard for extra storage. Comfy pillows and duvets provided. Child security locks allow the sash windows to open enough for ventilation but ensure your child’s safety.

Bathroom – quality white suite with the luxury of a ‘rainwater’ style shower, separate body rinser over a full size bath, soft close WC and a pedestal wash basin. Hand soap and loo roll provided, along with a stylish heated radiator to keep those fluffy towels warm.

Garden

A sheltered, small and pretty rear courtyard with table and chairs, a few flowering pots and hanging baskets. Exceptional. Beyond expectation. The owners could not have done it better. A huge thank you to them.
The Ship Inn is a local hotel that serves very high quality good pub food. The food is needless to say exceptional and the prices are fair.

A wonderful property - high quality with a very comfortable feel and everything you could need. The owner, Christina, was very helpful throughout and very professional. We will certainly return (the sooner the better) and recommend to all our friends and family. The surrounding countryside is spectacular. Would recommend the old precipe walk (easy going) and a drive or cycle up to the lakes in the northern foothills of Cadir Idris. Eating out is very good in Dolgellau - a gem of a town!

Dan yr Allt is a beautiful cottage and ideal for our family of 4. Quality appointed and the owners were warmly welcoming and very helpful. The Corris Craft Centre was a great wet day activity for the kids
