The sitting room offers a tranquil setting in which you can relax into your evening with plush seating for you to sink into. The country kitchen offers ample space to prepare a picnic for the next day’s adventure and cook up a storm for the whole family. The two bedrooms, one double and one single, are each designed with plenty of storage space for you to keep your holiday belongings.

Enjoy your refreshing morning coffee or your evening meal or takeaway at the bistro-style table offering superb alfresco dining space during a summer’s evening.

For days out, head to the vertiginous waterfalls of Devil’s Bridge, where you can board the Rheidol steam railway to experience one of the most scenic railway journeys in the country down to Aberystwyth to spend a few hours by the sea-side before taking the steam train back up into the mountains. Or enjoy one of the events in Builth Wells, home to the Royal Welsh Show, and the Wyeside cinema and arts centre. Or boogie the night away at Rhayader’s own Lost Arc music venue and cafe.

If the weather drives you indoors Rhayader has a Leisure Centre with swimming pool, squash courts and gym as well as exercise classes to challenge and inspire you.

The Elan Valley and Cambrian Mountains offer walks amidst breath-taking scenery, as well as superb opportunities for star gazing with its dark skies, with the Elan Valley being a Designated Dark Skies Discovery Site for astro-tourists. The area is a cyclists’ paradise and has well maintained cycle tracks, the brand new Pump Track Wales attraction and Powell’s fabulous bike shop to keep your machine in top condition.

Rhayader is a market town resting in central Wales, just 10 miles away from Llandrindod Wells. Within the town you will find a selection of amenities, as well as a leisure centre with a large swimming pool and a weekly livestock market. Within the surrounding area you will find the Elan Valley which offers a variety of walks and cycle trails, as well as a variety of nature reserves awaiting to be explored.
