The property had been very tastefully decorated and had a beautiful tall Christmas tree with twinkling lights waiting for us on our arrival. I loved the open plan flow of the living room and kitchen. My most enjoyable part was the fact that I could sit on the couch and see the TV, the Christmas tree, and the glorious log burner all at the same time. It really did make Christmas day special. The home is fully equipped with all you would need to cook and has plenty of utensils. The beds are comfy and the rooms are large. All bathrooms were great. There is a children's tree house feature in the garden and I found this a great place to sit with a coffee and look all the way down to the valley whilst getting some winter sun on my face. You can also enjoy a rare visit from the sheep on the other side of the fence whilst you sit in the large hot tub. This property far exceeded the pictures on the website. It truly is a little gem.

The hot tub was fantastic and the log burner kept the house really cosy in the lounge. We went for a walk at Vyrnwy lake and saw the waterfall called Rhiwargor, which was very pretty and well worth a visit. Lyndsey the owner was lovely and friendly. It is fairly central for both Newtown and Welshpool, not big towns but worth a short visit. The Bull and Heifer pub down the road offers amazing food, so much so that we ate there on three occasions. (unusual for us). The only downside is, that it isn't particularly close to many decent walks that we could find. Overall a wonderful holiday and I would definitely recommend it if you want to chill and put your feet up.
