You will find an open plan living, dining and kitchen area that has all the essentials to get you going including a toaster, microwave, fridge with ice box and a kettle. Enjoy cosy evenings in curled up with a book on the sofa. There is also a fully equipped bathroom with luxurious black tiled floor, and a spacious walk-in shower. This area of Wales is an outdoors enthusiast’s paradise with many walking routes Furnace is surrounded by beautiful rural lands. The village is named after the furnace which was originally constructed around 1755 for smelting iron ore, with fuel obtained from local woods and stored upstairs in the building.
Just down the road is Ynyslas is part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve, situated midway between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. The Dyfi Osprey Project is one of Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship projects based on our Cors Dyfi Reserve near Machynlleth on the west coast of mid Wales, it is a great place to visit and take the whole family.

This is a wonderful location for walking, mountain biking and water sports with the Ceredigion coastline, including the Ynyslas sand dunes and seaside resort of Borth, a short drive away.

We were made very welcome and enjoyed the three conversations we had with our hostess. We were treated to cakes and fizz on arrival and a second time with great advice as to places not to miss. Lovely private location, beautiful views. Our every need catered for, beautifully clean too.Would recommend & love to return annually !

We had a lovely long weekend at Cwtch Enrico and Glenda is an excellent host - not being able to take a leave for Friday we arrived almost at midnight and she stayed up and welcomed us in person to make sure we can settle after the long drive. The view is lovely and if your thing is to be away from busy life this is your place to come to. Eat out and takeaway options are limited, but with a bit of planning everything you need can be found. Avoid the Chinese takeaway on Machynlleth unless you're desperate or like food that doesn't taste as it should / expected 😅
