Please note: This property has a natural water supply via a well which is UV filtered. There are sloping banks in the grounds.. This lovely detached property is in the heart of Mid Wales, surrounded by rolling hills in a rural location with a private driveway and gardens which surround the property. There is plenty to do in this area, and a visit to the Elan Valley is a must as the scenery is just simply stunning, with forested areas, waterfalls and Victorian dams, great for walkers, cyclists and bikers. The Red Kite feeding and rehabilitation centre is not far from the property, and the sheep dogs put on a great show moving the cattle and sheep from the fields before feeding starts. The Gilfach Nature Reserve is a fabulous place to take a walk with its small rapids and waterfalls.
It is just 2 miles from the busy market town of LLanidloes with numerous restaurants and cafés. Llanidloes is on the river Severn, and a walk in the Hafren Forest and to the source of the river or a viewing of osprey on Llyn Clywedog makes a great trip. The town of Rhayader also has plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, local amenities and stores. For those wanting to travel further afield, then the market town of Builth Wells is 9 miles away and home to the Royal Welsh Showground, which hosts multiple events throughout the year. The spa town of Llandrindod Wells is 12 miles from the property and hosts a great golf course and lots of open country parks. The Brecon Beacons National Park is 35 miles from the property for those more adventurous, where a day climbing Pen Y Fan is a must, with panoramic views.

Absolutly beautiful location and comfortable well supplied accomodation. We could have happily spent the whole time there without doing any exploring. Alex and Jo were welcoming, generous hosts who were very helpful and willing to help in any way without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend Cwmfron House and would love to stay there again.

We had a fabulous time in Wales staying at Cwmfron House. Alex and Jo gave a lovely warm welcome on our arrival. They were very knowledgeable about the area and things to do. The house is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and really is a home away from home. The rooms are spacious, cosy and comfy. The nearest town is 5 minutes away and has all the shops and amenities you could need. The Hafren Forrest is close by with several great trails. Devil's Bridge is a great place to visit and the Aberystwyth South Beach is only an hour away and well worth the trip. Thank you Alex and Jo.

One of the best houses we've stayed at, surrounded by beautiful hills and countryside, with lots of wildlife to observe and very clear night skies. The house is very spacious - very well equipped - with very nice hosts willing to help. Definitely would love to stay here again, and would recommend strongly to anyone looking to stay in Mid Wales.
