Caerau Farm House is a traditional, cosy cottage with a private, enclosed garden, appreciated for its quiet location and rustic charm. Guests have enjoyed the comfortable beds, the wildlife, and the proximity to beautiful countryside and local amenities. While some found the cottage to be a quaint retreat, others noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the cottage to be well-maintained, while others reported cobwebs and grubby areas. The presence of dust and cobwebs in some rooms suggests room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its privacy, beautiful surroundings, and access to local attractions. The quiet setting and wildlife contribute to a peaceful experience, although the proximity to static caravans was noted by one guest.

The cottage is described as cosy and snug with comfortable beds, though some guests mentioned issues with boiler noise and bed sizes. The rustic nature adds to the comfort for some, but may affect the comfort level for taller guests due to low doorways.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden for dogs. However, some guests mentioned a lack of certain kitchen items, and issues with the shower and heating system suggest a need for maintenance.

There is insufficient information in the reviews to assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, this score cannot be accurately determined.

Cottage was cosy but spacious enough, it was also lovely and warm (although the pipes and boiler a bit noisy - just plan timings and it worked full well) It was in a lovely location with lots of places to go and visit. The only draw back for this absolute bargain was that the beds were rather hard and by the third night my back was agony. Mattress toppers would fix this and make for a perfect stay

It was definitely on the more rustic side of what we are normally used to for our cottage getaways, but once the house warmed up and we settled in - it was really cosy and snug. House is quirky and we liked it, once used to it. The surrounding area has lots to do and see and the mountain roads to both Machylenneth and Aberystwyth (the latter via Ellan Valley - also worth visiting) were spectacular. Hafren Forest also really worth visiting. Llandiloes is a nice large village - has everything you need (and loads of pubs). Didn't want to leave. We will definitely come back to both the house and the area.

Full of character and low ceilings so make sure you duck for doorways !! We used it as a base for Golfing but also a good base for all other activities plus towns and coastline.
