About this property

Llanbrynmair 0.7 miles. A delightful, detached log cabin style lodge, in the grounds of the owner's home, nestled in a river valley surrounded by fabulous wildlife with sweeping views towards mountains, close to a popular village of Llanbrynmair. This superb lodge is perfect for families or friends looking to enjoy tranquil surroundings, beautiful views and lovely countryside. Set all on the ground floor, there are three comfortable bedrooms, two with the convenience of en-suites facilities, and there's a separate family bathroom available. The light and airy open plan living area boasts a vaulted ceiling, and with a well-equipped, stylish kitchen, dining area and modern sitting area with woodburner, it's the perfect place to sit and cosy up with loved ones, whilst enjoying the far reaching views across meadows to the mountains beyond. Outside, you can sit and relax in the lawned garden, or make use of the enticing hot tub, which is ideal to unwind in and letting your cares drift way. You might spot a few faces down by the River Twymyn which runs alongside the lodges and through the valley, as there are resident otters and minks, but they can be rather elusive so keep your eyes peeled. Being in the midst of the Mid Wales countryside, you can delight in the possibility of observing all kinds of wildlife, not limited to red kites, owls, buzzards and rabbits to name a few. For those who love the outdoors, you can head over to the Snowdonia National Park and have your breath taken away by the Cambrian mountains and the stunning landscapes and scenery they provide, with walking and cycling trails offering you a way to explore. For a different kind of terrain you are just 40 minutes’ drive from the beautiful Cardigan Bay with sandy beaches and craggy coves to keep everyone entertained, especially when it’s sunny. Take a trip to one of the nearby nature reserves for a variety of activities such as walking, cycling, sailing and fishing, with Glyndwr Way just around one mile away, or try some clay pigeon shooting around eight miles away in Dovey Valley. A local weekly market runs in the lively town of Machynlleth, some twelve miles away, with a range of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes, perfect for a tasty lunch or some afternoon tea, before continuing on a walk around the Wales Coastal Path which runs through the town. Caban Gwdihw is on the doorstep of nature and will be the perfect place to spend time with your loved ones. Note: Properties can be booked together 960935, 931452, 981008 and 998388 - therefore being able to accommodate up to 24 people.

The village of Llanbrynmair is located between Carno and Machynlleth in Powys, Mid Wales, where the rivers Twymyn, Laen and Rhiw Saeson meet. In nearby Carno are the remains of a roman fort adjoining the churchyard, and eleven miles away the small market town of Machynlleth sits amid the rolling hills of Mid Wales. The streets of Machynlleth town spread out from the 19th century clock tower, and offer a good mix of specialist shops, pubs, and cafes, in addition to the regular street markets held every Wednesday. The town boasts two art galleries, and is home to the Museum of Modern Arts. With Newtown, Welshpool, and a little further, Aberystwyth within reach, makes Llanbrynmair the perfect base for a relaxing Welsh holiday.
