Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Once a former children’s nursery, The Old Nursery has been renovated to a high standard in 2022, located in the grounds of the owners working farm in a small village in the Brecon Beacons national park. With plenty of walks to be had straight from the doorstep, and walking distance to the local pub which serves food.

Sennybridge has all the amenities you could need from pubs to restaurants and local shops. The historic town of Brecon is 9 miles from the property where you will find plenty of coffee shops, art galleries, restaurants and bars, and don’t miss a visit to the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh at the barracks. It is also a great location for star gazers as the property is in the Brecon Beacon National Park and is an International Dark Sky Reserve. For those looking to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park then this property is only 9 miles from the base of Pen Y Fan, so you can enjoy a climb to the top to see the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Accessible to Cardiff which is approximately 45 minutes by car with its array of shops, restaurants and bars. Not forgetting the millennium centre which holds various sporting events throughout the year and the fabulous theatre, Swansea is also approximately 45 minutes away and has some great beaches, or head down to Gower and take a walk across the rocks in Rhossilli – don’t get caught by the tide though! The famous Dan yr Ogof show caves are located on the A4067 upper Swansea valley which is a great family day out see the dinosaur, shire horses and animal.

The Old Nursery comprises of a ground floor double bedroom, lounge, open plan kitchen and dining area, and a separate toilet. To the first floor there is a family shower room, a twin bedroom, and a master bedroom with double bed sharing great views of Pen y Fan! Externally there is an enclosed garden area with seating, perfect for all seasons whether it be al fresco dining in the summer or cosying up in the cooler months.

    The accomodation was very comfortable, well equipped & had plenty of space.The owner was very friendly and welcoming.It was well situated for everything we wanted to visit.

    Lovely hosts, Helen was so welcoming and friendly. The house was very cosy, warm, tidy and fully equipped with everything you could need (we even managed to make a roast dinner!) The location was what we were looking for, a set back house with beautiful surroundings. Would definitely recommend and consider returning!
