This lovely semi-detached barn conversion lies in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park with panoramic views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. The skies in this area are exceptionally clear and are great for those wanting to stargaze. Set on the owner’s working sheep farm, this barn conversion offers a twin and a double bedroom on the ground floor. The bathroom, with a bath and shower cubicle, is also on the ground floor. Upstairs is an open plan living space, and the views from the dining table are spectacular. There is a separate utility area to the back of the property with a washing machine and tumble dryer (this is shared with the property next door) and a lovely enclosed lawned garden, which is great for children to play in. There is also coarse fishing available on site. For anyone wanting to keep in touch with the outside world, there is free Wi-Fi and 4G mobile reception.
There is plenty to do in the area and a visit to the market town of Brecon with its array of shops, coffee shops, museums and art galleries offers something for everyone. Don’t miss a visit is to the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh, which has lots of historic facts and artefacts. For those wanting to walk around the countryside, a walk up Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, is a must, and the views from the top are outstanding. The reason i did not give a 5 for comfort and equipment is that i found the bed too hard, and i have a dodgy back. Otherwise everything else Good.

This cottage is great.Well positioned (I ran in a different part of the Black Mountains and the Brecons every day and never had to drive more than 30mins) and it has great views of both mountain ranges due to the elevation of the farm.The cottage has the rustic feel, with an (electric style) fire for cosy autumnal evenings while still providing the mod-cons we all need (Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, Power Shower and full central heating for the winter months). June and Graham were great too, called in advance to check what was needed (bed layouts), were there to greet me and available if I needed them. Otherwise, they left me to get on with things on my own.Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again.
