Situated between Sennybridge (2 miles) and Brecon (7 miles) the house is perfectly positioned to explore the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Head into the picturesque cathedral town of Brecon to browse the independent stores, discover the military history of the town at The Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh or hop onboard a narrowboat for a leisurely journey along the canal. Climb the highest mountain in South Wales with a hike up Pen y Fan (11.5 miles) and be rewarded with spectacular views across the Brecon Beacons.

Discover the stunning National Showcaves Centre of Wales (12.5 miles) with a tour of these geological wonders, including the magnificent Cathedral Cave. Further afield, take a memorable journey through the scenic landscape on board a heritage steam train with the Brecon Mountain Railway (23 miles). This former cottage built for the workers at the nearby Penpont Estate offers spacious accommodation arranged over three floors. Step through the front door and into the warm and welcoming lounge/diner. Switch on the wood burner effect electric fire on cooler evenings as you relax on the comfortable sofas watching TV or a DVD. Share your meals at the large dining table positioned to one side of the room, which will seat up to six guests in comfort.

Take the stairs to the first floor where you will find two of the three bedrooms. The master double bedroom is a restful space, and benefits from an en suite shower room. There s also a second comfortable double bedroom on this floor and the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Continue up the stairs to the second floor where there is a cosy twin bedroom with exposed beams and a sloping ceiling.

Stepping outside, there is a large garden laid to lawn to the rear of the property reached via a few steps from the patio, ideal for picnics and garden games. Dine alfresco on the patio at the table and chairs. There is roadside parking available.
