About this property

Peacefully set amidst a 240 acre working farm in the heart of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, lies this place of tranquillity and beauty. Thoughtfully designed to offer you the perfect eco friendly glamping experience without compromising on modern comforts, Buzzard is the ideal place to take time out and relax.

Named after the birds you will see catching the thermals as the sun comes out, Buzzard is a luxurious tented safari lodge that invites you take a step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, relax and reconnect with the natural world. The wide and welcoming veranda offers the perfect place to indulge in a spot of bird watching – binoculars are provided – or why not start that book you have always been meaning to read? Either way, with views over the valley, it’s a lovely place to relax. The cosy seating area with its two squishy sofas and warmed by a wood burning stove is a sociable space to chat about the adventures of the day and plan more for tomorrow. Or of course, you could make use of the board games available and have a night of competition!

The kitchen area is well equipped with running water, a microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, gas hob, kettle and toaster. However, if cooking is too much like hard work after a day spent exploring, you can order a delicious pre-prepared meal that you can simply heat up when you need it. With seating for six at the dining table, there is plenty of room for everyone to relax.

The stylish main bedrooms welcome you with proper beds and these are fully dressed for your arrival with Egyptian cotton bed linen and a gorgeous traditional Welsh blanket. The raised cabin bed is a delightful hideaway-within-a-hideaway for children but is equally suitable for adults that don’t mind snuggling!

To complete your home-from-home, bathroom facilities are in your own private “Pitch Pod” just next to Buzzard. Here you will find a ethically produced toiletries for your shower, flushing toilet and wash basin - no need for midnight tramps across a field!

The firepit offers an alfresco alternative for those who want to try their hand at cooking over a wood fire – the perfect opportunity to use some of the fantastic local produce that can be picked up at any of the nearby villages and towns. As night falls, it’s also a magical gathering place for an evening of tall tales and derring-do, or just snuggle up in a blanket and watch the embers as they dance up towards the star-lit sky. Don’t forget the marshmallows!

If your day has been spent out and about either on foot or on two wheels, you can soothe any aching muscles by luxuriating in your private wood-fired hot tub – bliss!

Myself, husband and 3 children (aged 7, 12 and 16) loved staying here and looking to come back in the near future! The hot tub was a huge hit and even though the weather was typical British autumn weather we spent most of our time sitting outside playing board games and spending some quality family time together. There are close by amenities within walking distance along the canal.

A lovely location with relaxed atmosphere. All the facilities were clean and we had room to store food with local amenities not too far away. Space for children to run around. You felt like you were camping but with extra home comforts. The hot tub was lovely once you got it going after a few hours. Would love to come back!.
