Itâs in a peaceful quiet location. Cottage is decorated with high quality furnishings and welcome package was a lovely touch . However we did find downstairs quite damp and cold and the living room smelt of cat wee at times . The bathroom in particular was damp and we struggled to stop the towels smelling musty despite airing them upstairs. Coats hung in the kitchen felt damp at the end of the holiday. Although the cottage was clean there were lots of cobwebs and spiders which looked like theyâd been there a while . Also the cottage is advertised as having a washing machine but that had developed a fault so wasnât working ( there was a note from the owners apologising and offering to wash a load ) The cottage is very pretty and we donât like giving negative comments however we feel that some bits do need a mention for future guests

The cottage was very well presented, comfortable and had everything we needed. Sadly the washing machine had broken which was a pain for us as we spend a lot of time on the beach so just need a quick rinse and spin of the bits when we get back in. The owners offered (and did) any washing that was needed that was kind of them. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage as a base for your Pembrokshire holidays

Welcomed with fresh milk and biscuits, the cottage is clean and has everything you need to stay whether you are a family with children or all adults. We stayed in the summer and enjoyed the fact that it is a short drive into Pembroke Town and about a 15 minute drive to Freshwater West and Stackpole Quay (national trust) that is a short walk to Barafundle Beach. Only 30 mins drive to Tenby. Our first time visiting Wales and we fell in love with it. Wish weâd booked 2 weeks so we could have visited everything in the area. Would recommend visiting Narberth town centre too as itâs got a market and some lovely shops with hidden tapas bars! All in all we would highly recommend Wagtail Cottage. Having our own drive for the car, the Amazon stick and dvd player (with lots of quite up to date dvds included) for those cosy movie nights in and a well equipped kitchen for cooking dinners every night really added the homely touches for us as a family of 4.
