Ty Cwtch is a spacious property with an enclosed garden, ideal for dog owners and close to local amenities and natural attractions. While some guests have had concerns, others have found it clean and comfortable, with efficient heating and a cosy log burner.
Cleanliness has been a significant issue, with multiple reports of dirt, dog hair, and mould. However, one review mentions the property being very clean, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.
There is not enough information to accurately score the location as the reviews do not focus on this aspect, aside from a brief mention of proximity to waterfalls and local parks.
Comfort has been mixed, with some guests finding the main sofa comfortable and the heating adequate, while others report hard sofas and beds, and a wobbly dining table.
Facilities and maintenance issues are evident, with reports of inadequate kitchenware, a wobbly table, and a mouldy washing machine. However, the heating and log burner are positives.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host, so this score cannot be provided. Guests should note that such amenities are not guaranteed.

Schade!

The cottage was for lack of better words, disgusting. The more days we spent there the more we noticed was wrong. To be fair, the host had arranged for a highchair to be on site upon my request before arrival which was great but other than that, our stay was unpleasant. The shower sealant was black, as were the shower heads. It leaked every time we used it. We were told to use the bath towels on the floor each time we showered which only left us our dirty beach towels to wash with. Not acceptable at all! The dining table was wobbling so badly it was not useable, there is a review from may describing the same issue so it clearly has been ignored all this time. The washing machine is advertised as being available to guests but it was mouldy in the seal and the drawer, plus covered in dog hair. The floor was also covered in dog hair and so were the sofas. My baby who is crawling was having to either not be put down or got covered. I tried to hoover but that was dirty too and it should not have been my job when I’m on holiday. The whole cottage floor was disgusting, I have photos of other areas with a lot of dirt in it too. The glasses and pretty much all kitchenware was dirty, the oven itself was absolutely disgusting! The only room that had curtains was the lounge, we kept waking very early as the blinds block no light at all. Such a shame when on holiday. The lounge had one proper sofa and another sofa that was rock hard, it was literally unusable. The smell in the entranceway and kitchen, I can’t even put it into words. We put the doormats outside to see if it helped but it really didn’t. There was a bag of laundry pellets in the hallway and we couldn’t even smell those at all. It was awful as you have to walk through this entranceway to get to and from the kitchen. We tried to ignore all this and make the best of it but couldn’t so left our holiday early and upset our three children. I should not have felt the need to do a deep clean before being able to relax or cook a meal. The location is wonderfully close to the waterfalls and local parks but I would never stay here again and would strongly advise others against it too. The host blamed previous guests being exceptionally dirty meaning the cleaners had more work than usual but this is unacceptable, it was all built up filth. If id have put a cup of tea on that table that the host was notified of in May, and leaned on the table whilst feeling my baby he would have been burned as the cup would have fallen onto him or me. That’s negligence. My partner also had to collect 9 bags of dog poo before our son could go out and play. Really disappointed!
