With its close proximity to the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury and its central position for exploring the North West Downs, and the New Forest National Park, makes this village an ideal location for a relaxing Hampshire break. There are two local shops providing groceries, off-licence supplies and postal services, and the village Crown Inn serves traditional pub food. Also within walking distance are the John O’Gaunt pub at Horsebridge (1.2 miles) and The Boot pub in Houghton (2.8 miles).
Explore the beautiful North Wessex Downs, which boast excellent walking and cycling opportunities. Apart from the many public footpaths which lead from the village there is the 24 mile Clarendon Way which passes through the village to link Salisbury and Winchester.
