We spent a week in this lovely modern cottage in the first week of September. Although it is called Poplars Farm there was no evidence of any farming activity. The site is an enclave of a few properties including the cottage but the neighbours were quiet and the cottage feels very private with views over the countryside. The cottage was stylish, light filled, clean and well equipped and VERY spacious for 2 people. The bed is comfortable and huge with nice pillows and linens. The shower is great with lots of hot water. The leather chairs and sofa were also very comfortable. The large smart TV was nice for evening entertainment. The outside seating area is nice with lovely views over the landscape and it was nice to hear the cockerels in the distance. There were, on occasions, some dogs barking in the distance although we couldn't hear them inside the cottage. We didn't meet the hosts, who may live in one of the neighbouring properties, but we communicated easily by WhatsApp. It was very wet during our stay but the cottage was not cold and we didn't need the heating or the log burner. The only negative was the Wifi which was very slow and intermittent. We would happily return to Poplars Farm again if in the area.
