The third bedroom is on the first floor of the property and also has a roll-top bath and hand made wash basin.
Set in 2 acres of the owner’s grounds, with a delightful south facing garden, this lovely barn conversion has everything to offer couples, families and friends alike. A lovely welcome pack awaits your arrival consisting of home made bread and eggs from the owner’s chickens. The open plan living space is a very social area and has a lovely wood burner for those cosy nights in. The property is carbon neutral with underfloor heating served via a biomass boiler and has PV cells providing the electricity and solar panels providing the hot water. There are also electric car charging points.
There is plenty to do in the area, and some fantastic walks to be had. The beautiful town of Usk is 4 miles from the property and is home to some lovely coffee shops and boutiques. Usk Castle is definitely worth a visit. Beach 17 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

The plus side:Rachel and Andy are lovey and make you feel very welcome. Upon asking for the welcome basket as included on the information Rachel did bring this over, and the bread was delicious.The beds and bedding are extremely comfortable and my friend and I both enjoyed great and restful sleep.The roll top baths are a touch of luxury and the shower has good pressure.The Minus:THERE ARE NO VIEWS!It is advertised as being set in 2 acres of owners land and that to me implied secluded and private. It is NOT!The barn is directly opposite the owners home you are heavily overlooked.There is a small courtyard garden for your use with very tired and broken furniture. The outside lighting is insufficient.There are 2 beautiful collie dogs and 4 chickens that make their way into the barn as the gate is not secure and the chickens come under the fence so leaving the door open to the garden is problematic.The door is extremely hard to open and lock as it is warped, it took both of us to lock it when we went out.1 of the lanes to the barn is not really viable to travel down as it is extremely narrow. Opposite the gate.It was a lovely base but I would not be happy to spend time in the day there, due to lack of outside space and privacy.The walk in shower is tiny, the shower is very slow draining and water will flow into the bedroom. I just layed a towel on the floor to halt the flow.Towels are supplied but they are very coarse.One of the sofas is very uncomfortable and the high back chair is broken.A bit of love would elevate this propertyComfortable chairs, nets, pictures of local area. A welcome basket of breakfast foods possibly an addition of fresh welsh cakes. a more secure gate and recognition of boundaries.An honest description of this property and its location as currently it is misleading.The barn is located directly opposite the owners home. Like a semi detached situation.The main French door way which cannot be opened looks directly at owners home.
