Guests say

Cider Mill Lodge offers a peaceful and secluded retreat with stunning views and direct access to beautiful walks, making it ideal for dog owners and nature lovers. Guests consistently praise the well-equipped lodge, relaxing hot tub, and friendly, helpful owners. While some furnishings and mattresses are noted as a little tired, the overall comfort and cleanliness are highly regarded. Thoughtful touches such as welcome packs and flowers are appreciated, though not guaranteed. The location is rural and tranquil, with easy access to local attractions, though the nearest pub is a drive or a long walk away.

The lodge is frequently described as clean and well-maintained, with only minor comments about a shower needing extra attention. Overall, guests are very satisfied with the cleanliness.

The rural setting, breathtaking views, and proximity to walking trails are repeatedly highlighted as major positives. The peacefulness and privacy are highly valued, though the remote location means amenities like pubs require a drive or a long walk.

Guests find the lodge warm, comfortable, and relaxing, especially enjoying the hot tub and sun terrace. Some mention that lounge furniture and mattresses are a bit worn, but this does not detract significantly from the overall comfort.

The lodge is well-equipped with good Wi-Fi, kitchen appliances, and a hot tub. Suggestions for minor improvements include an airer for towels and some garden maintenance, but facilities are generally praised.

Guests appreciate thoughtful touches such as welcome packs with milk, tea, coffee, flowers, and chocolates. Please note that these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Had a lovely two weeks, peaceful and quiet just what we need. The view is amazing and better than shown in the pictures. We do think cottages.com should have new pictures on their website as everything appears to have changed. New sofa, bedroom furniture, dining table and chairs, out side all new chairs and loungers, even a new hot tub. Outside of the lodge has now been painted. Great for everyone but would have been nice to have seen the updates before arriving. We would highly recommend this lovely holiday destination to anyone wanting peace and quiet away from everything. The only downside is the narrow tracks getting to the property but as we live in Cornwall we are used to travelling down single track lanes that means reversing where needed as few passing places for vehicles. All In all we had exactly what we needed.Thank you 🤩.

Lovely lodge everything you need, clean, lovely views, quiet, fully equipped. Hot tub lovely. One of the best lodges we have stayed in. Lovely walks everywhere but footpaths down to Tintern very overgrown and not walked that much so hard to get through. Also road interesting at times single track but worth it for peace and quiet no cars or road noise.

Lovely secluded setting. Excellent for our dogs to run freely. It’s on a hill giving wonderful views but this means walking is great going downhill but you have to walk uphill so if your not fit it maybe a struggle. Excellent WiFi, tv channels.Lovely hot tub. Paul & Helen very approachable and at the end of a phone. Would definitely return again but in better weather so could benefit from sitting outside and chilling. We had relaxing week with typical February weather. So wet weather gear was needed.Lots of places to visit in both Wales and England. Brilliant breakfast at The White Monk by Tintern Abbey which went down well after 40minute walk there.
