Outside, there is an enclosed garden where the little ones and your four-legged friends can let off some steam! Being in a Bortle 2 area (the second darkest call of night skies that can be found on Earth), this property is a stargazing haven; sit outside and admire the beauty of the night sky right above you.
Beautiful Aberdaron Bay is just 1½ miles from the cottage, and in this pretty village you can find a mile long sandy beach, two pubs, a tea room and boat trips in the summer to Bardsey Island. Children will love exploring the sea caves and rock pools, or for the more adventurous, windsurfing and kayaking can also be found in the area.
For history buffs, Caernarfon Castle is worth a visit and is set on the banks of the River Seiont, whilst Harlech Castle is situated on a rocky crag overlooking sand dunes far below. The highest peak in Wales, Mount Snowdon, is a must for outdoor enthusiasts, and there is also the Snowdon Mountain Railway which will take you to the top. For seaside fun, visit the bustling market town of Pwllheli, with its beach, art galleries, sailing and watersports centre, and coastal cruises out to see wildlife such as seals, sea birds and dolphins. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
